Thanks for your many Maverick videos Shay!

And especially providing honest feedback on its reliability, recalls and other pluses/minuses.

It finally hit that mark, two years with the Maverick and all its drama. Would I do it again?

The OP calls the Lariat extras "crap" (Yes I'm personally triggered) and then proceeds to show us a bunch of "crap" (and weight) he added to his truck, highlighted by an absurd steel pull out truck bed feature and a tonneau cover that he can't open. Yikes!

I'll happily keep my 2 Lariat Hybrids. The "crap" is just fine to me. After all, 2 Lariats for less $$$ than a single F-150 Lariat?

Thanks for the update! I love the gas mileage, but I miss the room of my F-150 (I'm 6'4" tall) and since my family is fully grown, this is now my retirement truck!

You've illustrated why lashing out when emotionally triggered is a bad look. It seems you missed the point and also didn't hear when I stated that I was not bagging on the Lariat.

The point I was making was that just because a top line model such as the Lariat might cost 35-40k does not mean expectations of baseline quality should be any different than that of the 20k base model that was originally engineered to that price. Yes it has a lot more equipment, features or "crap" as I called it tongue-in-cheek, but all of the bones the extras are bolted to are the same.

In my case while I may have a number of extras I have added and spent money on you may not agree with, the fact remains that my expectations of the truck and its basic quality are not now somehow higher or out of line with reality just because I've invested more in it.

Don't take life so seriously ;)

I believe you missed my sarcasm and light natured post. "Personally triggered"? Come on!

On a serious note, Lariats didn't cost $35-$40K. My '23 Lariat Luxury w/ Co-Pilot 360, hitch and block heater (you know, the "crap") <- (joke) cost $29,924. What was your final cost after all of the mods?
