Does the hitch mount LED do brake light as well as running light and reverse?

For the ditch light kit - is there going to be a slight gap between the seal/fender when pushing the seal back in as the bracket has to come up through that space?

The t-tap is for the low beam signal. There is more to the kit than simple t-taps.

But the C1R doesn't have a plug and play harness for the Maverick to address the trailer package issues that can arise right (know this was an issue on Maverick and F series trucks)? Admittedly I've been a little confused by some of the answers and info I've seen in this area. I was interested in the C1R bc my RTT blocks my third brake light but assume it still has to be T tapped to the taillight to get around the trailer detection issues?

Here's what DD said when I asked before the Maverick kit came out:

I like the style and molded inward design for the fogs. This is exactly what I was looking for over the last year or two. I will rework the wiring though so that I control when the fogs are on and off, regardless of the low versus high beam position. I do this on all my cars.

I like the tow hitch light but will pass. I keep my hitch installed and mounted using the special brackets to eliminate any hitch movement to prevent any clunking when towing. Plus keeping a rear hitch mounted has prevented my cars from getting any rear damage in the past from light rear end hits.

There must be confusion...

The C1 HitchMount Kit included the following functions:

- Red Accent Light (Backlight)
- White Mainbeam

This kit obtains power using a custom in-line adaptor to the tail lights.

There is NOT a C1R option, the red 4th brake light draws to much power according to our engineering team.

The ONLY Maverick model that can handle the C1R is users that have a 7-pin tow package from Ford directly.

Okay...somewhat of a let down...announced but not yet in production since shipping isn't until March. Somewhat like GM constantly announcing new models that take 1 1/2 years before they even hit the assembly line. At least this is only 1.5 months.

I purchased a kit for my Mav. What’s 1.5 months when I waited a year for the truck? This will be the 4th or 5th time the bumper will have been off of my truck. I’m getting quick at it now. lol
