Funny you should ask. I am currently in a hotel room in KY and in the morning I will drive the 2 miles and pick up my new.. pickup. I don't have a warm fuzzy feeling about this though given I am trading in my '22 Ranger. Might seem nuts. I don't trust the Ranger's transmission long-term and I think I will prefer a more car-like ride. I keep reading about Maverick problems on these boards but I remind myself this is where people go to complain and to find solutions; so of course we will read about problems here.

But before you start thinking I'm all pessimistic about this, I've already purchased an Escape digital climate control panel and a Lariat's 6.5" cluster screen. (and an armrest organizer and hood struts and floor mats and the Ford black hood deflector) I'm looking forward to those projects.

I feel very lucky. I have 2 Mav Hybrids on order from June 17/23. A local dealer here in sw Florida "Coconut Point Ford" 3 weeks ago offering me a refused order at msrp. 3 hrs later i am the proud owner of my first 24 Maverick xlt hybrid. This dealer is one of the first ones i talked to over year ago and was pretty much told i cannot get a mav. I did not order one from them.

Cool. Did the dealer have it priced at MSRP?

Guess i got lucky on my 2024 Lux Lariat. Had price protection $2500 plus $500 farm bur. discount. Dealer gave me a $400 check to replace gas card they had offered. So overall i did OK!

Picked it up. I like it a lot. More than I thought I would. The cloth seats are actually way higher quality than I thought they'd be and the heated wheel and seats are a first for me and I love them. Has more room inside than my '22 Ranger did.

On another note, TN you need to get your sh%T together when it comes to snow removal. I mean holy sh@t. Nashville specifically did NOTHING to remove 7 ish inches of snow from their highways. The AWD system got one heck of a workout, trudging through thick snowy slush around other cars that had wiped out. There were times when all 4 wheels were working their magic in controlling slippage on huge wide slanted highway overpasses.

I got a build date and VIN from FORD on Jan 4th at 0845. (HOLY CRAP!!!) Scheduled build date is week of 26 Feb 24. I would say that when a Dealer has capacity they get built. If they don't have the capacity; they get delayed and delayed and delayed. Call your dealers to see if they have the capacity to order. If they dont forget it and move on.

If Ford tells me that my truck from my lil dealer is gonna get built; it is a Win Win. My Son needs new wheels.

We are by no means "DESPERATE" for a Maverick,; I just want to stop killing my precios 2008 Crown Victoria that I so dearly love. She's only got 108000 and I want to make her last. If they brought back the Vics I would forgo the Maverick and Def order 2 Vics. They just RUN. Kid has my 2005 Vic, and Mom and Pos have my 2008 Marquis. the 2002 Marquis is a Spare Car for when we have Maint to do on the rest of the vehicles. Once I receive the Maverick I will be selling my 2002 Marquis CHEAP! So if you are looking for a Car (By No Means a Beater) lemme know; if you are in the area.

Ordered my XLT 4K FX4 Luxury pack from Schomp in Denver on 12/15 and am scheduled for build 2/16. MSRP, no dealer handling fee. Surprised at the quick turnaround. Really wanted a 2023 due to features removed, but haven't found one on the lot anywhere with my options and a color I like.

I have 2005 Grand Marquis with 119k as my daily that will be the teenager car next year. I love those cars and my family has 6 of them- prefer to stick to the 04 and newer though.

Agreed. About the Panther Platform. The whole Front End of the 03 and older is such a PITA to work on. And the front seats on the older ones are closer to the Dash. Hard for an old fart like me (With a beer Gut) to get into or out of. R.I.P. Panthers. You are surely missed!

That would only work for a lariat with no heated seats (is dual zone). I believe for XL and XLT you want the kind with only the right side digital temp. Then match up the heated seats and heated steering wheel buttons. Search for 2020-2022 Escapes, I'm pretty sure.
