My Parked Ford Maverick Victim of Hit and Run by Toyota Tacoma

Last night, I heard a screeching noise and a crash. My Maverick's car alarm went off and I ran outside to see a white Toyota Tacoma driving around the corner. The driver parked the car and ran off. Found beer bottles inside the cab of his truck. I called the police, they took a report and towed the truck because it was parked over two feet from the curb so the owner will have to come and claim it. Does the fact that the Maverick is a unibody take it longer to fix? I was planning on going on a trip for new years, but I guess that's out of the picture.

Sorry to see what happened to your Maverick and hopefully it gets fixed in a reasonable amount of time.

Wow, that’s a real shame that could even be a total the way they calculate things nowadays keep us updated. I wanna know how terrified I have to be if my baby gets hit I think the light assembly is like 1400 bucks. Sucks it was a crappy taco

I get the rear end damage, what caused the front end? Looks like you chased him down and pulled a pit maneuver on him lol

The front end damage is from the other driver's Tacoma where he hit my car

Have you found out yet if the driver of the Toyota had the permission of the owner. It may have been "borrowed" or else the driver decided a leave the scene of an accident was better than a DUI...... Either way, I hope there is no frame damage. Good Luck!!

Right. He'll show up to claim his [stolen] truck AFTER the alcohol has left his system. What state are you in? Is there much chance that he doesn't have insurance?
