Yeah for a big jack bed mount I was thinking take a 2x8 cut it to fit the wheel well slots in the front of the bed. Roll ye jack up in there with the handle to the front. Take a piece of cardboard and fit a tight cut out pattern around the jack body. The replicate that on the 2x6. A tight fit on everything oughta lock it in place pretty nicely. A safety nanny could sort out a bolt or pin or something for it to keep it down. Also could screw a second board across the top to reinforce it since its a cut piece. Angle aluminum could work as well. Or just put it under the rear seat with a piece of old carpet underneath to protect the cubby and be used as roadside knee pad.
that souns like a good idea! thanks

maybe im wrong on my assumptions here but it does seem like if you have a more basic maverick with less equipment behind the back seat. There should be room to mount a jack vertically behind the seat. Now it would likely also need to be low prolife short one with the thickest part on one end. then its just putting the handle somewhere.
its an xlt tremor with lux

I've changed over to my spare three times. No way is it 3-5 minutes, unless you're part of an F1 pit crew and have an impact driver.
i know that, im thinking i should be able to do it in under 10 minutes but im not sure yet. i have to try it firstšŸ˜‚ i have never changed a tire on a maverick, only on my current car. someone in the comments early said its not easy to change a tire so i was just saying i dont find it difficult

i always carry an impact and a pretty fast jack but im definitely not a pit crew member, i am however pretty familiar with changing tires and other basic stuff with vehicles

First thing you want to do is watch Betty the Tattooed Lady change a tire.

I did this because the Maverick is my first truck, and a year later I had occasion to practice tire changing twice within two weeks, both times on the shoulder of a busy highway.

I used the jack and tools Ford put behind the rear seat, and they work OK. Other people have suggested tools that will speed the process for you.

i watched that it was fairly painful to watch. with an impact and a good jack it can be done pretty quick, not as fast as fast as my civic obviously but definitely not as long as it took her. she was doing a few things backwards that slowed things down

Stop by Dollar Tree if you have one around where you live and for $1.25 buy a tarp or plastic shower curtain to keep under the seat because you might like to keep yourself off the ground and out of the mud when changing your tire on the side of the road.

I have changed one flat tire and rotated all five twice... so I can speak from experience when I say "whatever time it took to get the spare out - double that for estimating how long it takes to get the dam# thing back on the rack!!!"

i have to ask, how do you like the cyber orange? does it look yellow in person? it kind of looks yellow on videos and photos.
It might look like yellow in some pics, but definitely is a orange color.

I love to death my cyber orange color, feels so good no having the same boring color than 99.99 of the other vehicles on the road. If you offered me a lariat in other color in exchange for my XLT I would definitely need to think about it, this color is not longer offered, I been dreaming since the Acura integra and the Subaru Baja, (even the nissan frontier on some kind of yellow) for a vehicle in this color, I wouldn't trade my color for none other.

Just a lil advice, if you get the cyber orange take care of the paint, even a lil scratch is pain in the a$$ to match the paint, is a tri-color thing, plus depending on the weather +humidity etc can change a lot, even if everything is perfect it won't match easily according to two paint guys that I talked before.

Just go to the mall, gas station or any parking lot and 80-90% or more of the cars are black, white or grey, may be 10% blue and red and others, cyber orange or color close to mine are lest than .1% and i love that.

I’m happy for you, in that photo you can certainly see the orange, I will be a 99 percenter though since I’m getting black but I don’t really like anything other than black. It will just suck to have to keep clean and scratches, I’m going to pick up some hybrid solutions graphene coating and go to town on it as soon as I get itšŸ˜‚

I use ceramic wax and quick detailing, heard wonders about graphene. But i don't feel myself ready enough to try it.

About the black is ok, I'm fixated on some colors too, even my bikes have out of the ordinary colors too or weird designs. If you like black and pump your chest when you see them that's the color you should go for. I never had a new vehicle before so so I picked whatever was left or in a good deal, happy that we can get the freedom and capacity to pick our own choices, for long time I wasn't able to do that, now i do and for that I'm beyond grateful.

I do not know about you, but I have had to change a flat on a soft shoulder. I cannot imagine using your jack without something like a 2 x 10 under it. A nice piece should fit under your back seat along with that tarp someone suggested earlier. Hopefully if you get a flat you can just throw the flat tire in the bed and repair it later, no need to crank it up under the bed. I am not sure since I have never had a truck - can you just crank up the cable and replace the spare later?

I do not think it matters where you post this as long as you are clear on your subject line, which you did. If you just post 'Flat tire ?', then no one really knows what you are asking for.
