No idea how much interest there would be but it could certainly be done, particularly by 3d printing. Unfortunately I have no idea how to do that. It would just be a hollow cover with holes in it over the center of the buttons.

Our hound doesn't know he's 70 lb. His entire purpose in life is to crawl into your lap so he can get belly rubs. Stop rubbing and you get a paw to the face. My theory is that he was a really cute puppy and people used to do that to him when he was little. Then he got big and people stopped letting him on their laps. So what he does is come up to you for pets, then starts leaning against your legs and kind of flops over to expose his belly for rubs. Then he starts pushing up with his hind legs so he slides up into your lap. For belly rubs. I had a black lab that thought she was sneaky (and some times she was) and would move really slowly toward me, and if I didn’t do anything, she would jump in my lap.
