Zack, you made the right decision with the Lariat! You get 18 features not available on the XLT, like B&O sound, adaptive cruise, push button start, and built in navigation. The difference in cost only comes to about $188 per feature for all 18 features, which are listed on this video. Most features cannot be added and the ones that can (like removing all the door panels to install an upgraded stereo) will cost way more.

I hope this info helps!

Those extra features were definitely worth the extra cost

Picked it up Friday and definitely glad I bought the lariat over the XLT

Congratulations!

You made the right decision by going with the Lariat model. The Lariats are in a class of their own compared to the lowly XL and XLT models.

Enjoy her...

<Scott the Troll says something mean just to pick a fight with the Lariat owners, because it's Sunday and he's bored.>

Please insert snarky troll statement of your choice above. I'm having trouble coming up with anything because I kind of like the Lariat.

That's cactus gray, right? One of my favorite colors on the street. I think terrain might become my new favorite, but I haven't seen one in the world yet.

Not to be a wet blanket, but all of those extra geegaws come at a price. Many of them require a SENSOR. There is the rub. My 2004 Thunderbird ("Retrobird") had 12,412 sensors. I had to replace a bad sensor every 63 minutes. The cheapest sensor was about $300. My great-great-great grandchildren should have my charge card finally paid off. Those heated seats were dreamy.
