New owner. Red and black wire in glove box question

Hello. Tried searching other threads. I just picked up my 2023 Maverick lariat. My question is. There was a red and black small wire set in the glove box with a black molex connector on the end. Anyone know what that is? It was in a sealed parts bag. Thanks in advance

I believe those are the connector for the 12 volt connectors in the back of the bed.

If that is the case thank you as i dont have any outlets in the bed. Seems i overlooked that part on my purchase. Mine just has the empty cubbies.

every Maverick has those connectors in the bed. My truck is not here or I would provide a photo.
They are black rubber plugs in the bed near the tail lights and or the bed storage cubby

they're under the plastic covers in the bed, not sure what you're using to search but there are a ton of threads on this topic. It also says it in your owner's manual. In your defense they probably should have labeled it as 12v outlet or something....

Curious, what type of tailgate assist product did you use, and are you pleased with install ease and performance, i.e. do they ever interfere with the cable holding the tailgate? Tx

It was a cheapo deal from Amazon, $18.99 at the time. I did not have any trouble installing and it works perfectly. I would highly recommend having one. there is a little trick (some on this forum disagree with) but it works without flaw (see photo). Good luck with yours!

And I think some say the aux 12 vdc circuit is fused at max 20 amp. I haven’t check it, so check it.
