I have a sibl (linex) and I just bought a Ford OEM rubber mat to put on top but it kinda if seems like the mat needs to be trimmed slightly on the width, particularly near the tail gate. Has anyone experienced this before? Forum search results not obviously helpful.

I'm trying to see if I can force this thing flat but it seems like it's slightly too wide. No one else has run into this?

My Ford mat fits perfectly in both my 22 and 23 truck’s SIBL bed

Good luck

So I removed the cubby blanks and made sure the mat was under them which maybe helped a little. I've now put a bunch of heavy items on that area to hopefully convince it to stay flat. I think it might have been slightly tight without the SIBL but the little bit is extra thickness pushed it a little too far.

Think a utility knife would cut this pretty cleanly?

Rubber is pretty tough to cut, I'd use a sharp and rigid blade knife but a utility could work using a piece of wood as a backer. trouble with a utility is the blade can flex and take you off course.
I have a hot knife that might be up to the task but haven't tried it on rubber.

Do you have any power tools like a cut-off wheel or die grinder? Or a rotary file/rasp bit for a drill? The mat is tough to cut but I was able to cut for the front floor tie downs on mine with a utility knife.

Good luck

I have a Dremel but not sure what cutting tools I have for it. I'll check that out, thanks.

I put the mat over the sprayed in liner with out any issues. My mat needed to relax. Once it proper shape had it fit better

Happened to me. Ordered the OEM bed mat to lay over the SIBL. The SIBL is not thick enough to cause big fitment issues, but I had to cut off about 1/4" to 1/2" off of the sides near the tailgate and rear cubbies. That shit is not easy to cut either ;) All good now, but obviously the widths of the factory cuts must vary enough to cause some issues. JAT
