Third Brake Light

Does the Maverick share the same third brake light housing with any other Ford model. F-150? I would like to trade out the OEM light for one with a smoked lens cover. I find any number of third party products for every other truck, just not for the Maverick.

Yes. I tried a few and they all had horrible light output. Morimoto has the best imo although it is expensive.

Only problem with smoke tinted lamps is they're not as visible during the daytime. I absolutely hate following somebody who's sprayed they're tail lights and upper eye level stop lamp to tint them, as many times you cannot see them when they illuminate during the daytime when it's sunny. - It's rear end collision waiting to happen in my opinion, based on my experience in the insurance industry.

I'm all for more light facing rearwards, so the inattentive driver behind might notice the blinker and stop lamps when they light up. If you're tinting be sure to put brighter bulbs to compensate for the reduced light transmission.

I disagree they are just as visible during the day time if properly modded. The problem is people cheap out and dont upgrade the bulbs if using stock lenses. The housing i used is brighter than factory and has rapid flash to get your attention.

How about a radar activated horn in the back, It would measure speed and distance and figure out if an impact was immanent unless something changed
