I was told by my dealer that you can’t get a sliding rear window in the 2024 (XLT Hybrid). I called a few auto glass places and they say there is no aftermarket window for 2024 Maverick. I am in SE Michigan - delivery expected mid-December 2023. Any feedback appreciated from Team Maverick.

I researched this heavily as I wanted a manual sliding window in an XL or XLT. MY2024 it became a Lariat exclusive, power only... Basically I found for about $1200 I could get Safelite to fit an XL or XLT w/ a manual slider from the XLT. However, there was the question of a few interior pieces... Don't know what the price will be now that the manual slider isn't available in any shape or form.

I started to look at what I was going to be adding to either an XL or XLT (awd, slider, spray in bedliner, coPilot, alloys in the case of XL, etc..) .... and just did the upgrade to the Lariat as it would have those things... just had to add 4K and sunroof. Funny I went from wanting an XL for MY2022 (banks closed), XLT in MY2023 (banks closed), to ordering a Lariat for MY2024. Manipulated by the bait and switch when things became unavailable (no XL sunroof in MY2023, no XLT slider in MY2024).. I'm sure Ford is proud of 'catching me'. Oh well...

Thanks for the feedback. I started with a largely base 2023 Hybrid XL but am now at a 2024 XLT but only sunroof and hitch/floor mats as options. I believe once you start going up the ladder to Lariat w a good amount of options you lose the value proposition that originally interested me in a Mav: great mileage, low cost, simple vehicle. Just my personal two cents, but yours sounds like a really nice truck.

Your link is broken but yeah the used market is probably the best bet. Even then it might not be a direct replacement.

OEM replacements appear to be available directly from Ford.

I think wanting AWD, 4KTow, CP360 gets me climbing in price quickly regardless of the trim, relative to a XL hybrid..

I've considered changing to an XL EB AWD 4KTow CP360 spray-in... then go looking for the rear slider, rear seat, and alloys from a wrecked XLT... But now I'm up around $31.5k total costs with some work to be done..... A Lariat w/ 4KTow is $35.5k. Funny once you cross $30k you start reasoning, well it's just a bit more. LOL :ROFLMAO:

I agree.... my pendulum has swung in the direction of purchasing a truck that doesn't match the value proposition it once had... guilty as charged....

well....what happens if you have a 2022 with a slider and it gets broken - you're just stuck with a fixed one as a replacement? Ford doesn't stock replacements?

I linked to the OEM replacements in post #5. The ones I linked to are for the non powered units found on the 22MY XLTs but they might fit other model years.

$25k was my limit. Got my XL OTD for $23k.
Superb deal on a truck. For me up here north of the woodchucks I had to have AWD and wanted FX/4 for the wheels and larger productivity screen. I needed to up my game a bit for that. LOL.

I had a long talk with the folks at Breezer.com a couple of months ago and although they posted a Maverick version on their site, they had not gone into production at that time. Don’t know if that has changed. Their version would not be a slider — it’s a pop-out style — but wider than the Ford slider so a surf board or lumber could fit.

I ordered it, but they found some sort of incentive to get the $24,960 sticker down to $23,339 OTD, which included the doc fee. $25k was my limit because it was cash I put aside during COVID for a new vehicle.
FWD + better tires are all I need for my hilly gravel road and infrequent snow driving.
