I've posted about this issue before my Maverick just seems to be doing it more and more in the cold weather (0C, -3C) and even after my dealership says they have updated all the modules. You will be in drive with your foot on the brake and the truck is bumping, nudging, shaking. It's not a shutter. Anyone else had something similar.

Hey there! If you send over a DM with your VIN and Ford dealer info, I can look into your concerns on my end.

Mine did this over the weekend. I use the auto brake hold but was talking to a neighbor and forget to take foot off brake and it was trying to move and making all sorts of noises.

I never use auto hold. Just the kind of driving I am doing I am never in stop-and-go traffic it's all country roads and early mornings or late nights before or after 12-hour shifts

I have experienced the unsettling (to the point of nausea) pulsing in my Maverick. I have found that applying firmer pressure on the brake pedal stops the pulsing.

Mine does it when it is cold out and the engine is also cold. It is kind of like when an older car is on fast idle and the auto choke is on. You could feel the torgue converter nudging forward. Mine only does it until the engine is getting warm (about 1.5 miles of driving) then it goes away. Kind of feels like the ICE engine wants to take over and move the truck. It doesn't feel unsafe, just annoying.

Shortly after I posted my prior reply; I was driving, stopped at a light, and experienced the pulsing again. I applied additional pressure to the brake pedal and the truck pulsed two more times then settled down.

If you have the Hybrid, you have an eCVT. It does not have a torque converter.

I was thinking that, does the hybrid even have a torque converter? No.

I was referring to an older car with a torque converter (that feeling). I know I have an eCVT.

Consider not enough pressure on brake pedal. With foot on pedal without even trying to brake you may be switching creep mode on and off. In getting ready to brake I have to keep foot completely off pedal to prevent problems. If barely touching pedal while coasting and at less than 2-3 (guess) mph after several 4-7 (guess) seconds computer decides you really want to stop it will slam brakes on. I would guess you are experiencing creep-brake occilation. Turn auto hold on and take foot off brake completely?

I had that with a Gen 1 Chevy Volt. Dealership told me I would need to replace the entire battery for $8000. Said no thanks, found a Gen 2 Volt and traded the Gen 1 in.

Don't know if it would be the same cause, but I imagine it would be much cheaper to fix if you would need to replace the battery on the Mav.
