As the title says if I just barely bump the usb port CarPlay disconnects and eventually reconnects. Also happens on bumpy roads. Anyone else? Any recommendations?

Try a different USB cable they all tend to break after a while and it sounds like yours might be on its way out. That's a lot more likely than a problem with the wiring of the port.

I’ve tried close to 10 lol. Not the cord.

I had a similar issue and switched to the USB-C port, this has not been a problem for me since. I also use a coiled stretch type 1m cord.

Try a right angle USB connector into your phone. Easy to find on Amazon.

Better: Get a wireless converter. They work great.

I use a wireless CarPlay adapter with an angled usb c cord to power it.
