Hi all. Ordered my '24 Lariat Azure Gray 2.0/FX4 with moonroof on July 17th. Received dealer word that truck was built last week of October, shipped first week of November, and should arrive first week of December. Order was from small rural dealer with paperwork and at MSRP, and I confirmed they had no other '24 orders to place in front of mine, and I think they only had like 2 undelivered '23's at the time. I ordered no other accessories as I was advised those could be constraints that could cause delays. I guess I shouldn't count my chickens before they've hatched, but considering all the horror stories out there, I feel extremely lucky about my experience so far. I figured at least parts delivery would get delayed to Hermosillo due to the strike, but it seems that did not happen either. I was just curious how other experiences have been for those that ordered right when the order bank opened for the '24 model year. THANKS!

That sounds a lot better than any stories I’ve read here. I just ordered mine Oct 24th so obviously haven’t heard anything yet. Yesterday the dealer told me he expects it to be built in Dec. We’ll see

We ordered two Lariat Hybrids with moon roof as only option from two different dealers. The first was a 23-24 rollover order that was placed in Sept of 2022. The second was a new order placed in July of 2023. The rollover was scheduled for Oct 16th then moved to Oct 23rd. Went into production on Oct 25th and shipped on Nov 5th. The new order was scheduled for Oct 30th. Went into production on Nov 3rd and shipped Nov 4th. Why one stalled and another completed in a single day is beyond me unless certain dealers get priority.

Some folks here seem to have delays with the body shop with Lariats - seems they might've had a backlog on SIBL for a week or two and aren't necessarily doing FIFO.

They're building around 13k trucks per month now (30% more than their average MY23 production) and parts constraints have eased considerably so I'd say MY24 builds will go much quicker than before.

I ordered on the 17th also but it didn't go through until the 19th due to dealer computer issues - medium sized dealer - scheduled to be built next week and I saw that it had turned to in production yesterday. So not too bad so far but a lot of sh_t could still happen.

The reason I waited this October 23 to order one a significant amount of Maverick issues have gotten better, not that I knew what they were until I joined here.

Been seeing Mavericks for a while on the road at soccer tournaments and other places. Common theme is everyone loves their Maverick now that they have it and can drive it. Everything before that for all of them was the worst vehicle buying experience they or anyone they knew had. I met people who paid $10K extra for XL's and $15K extra for Lariats along with people who paid MSRP.

Not an uncommon issue with new vehicles in demand (i.e. Bronco, Lightning from Ford, new Corvette, every Porsche, new Land Rover Defender, etc), but feels like Maverick was above and beyond worse than others I've heard stories about. I'm sure someone was fired high up for missing something that cause it all, but who knows, they may have been promoted for Maverick success.

How did you get to the front of the lineup before the 34k or so unbuilt 22 and 23 Customers? That's just wrong in so many ways.

Bizarre how Ford doesn’t seem to care about upsetting their customers.

Pretty much follows my timeline. Ordered mid-July, built Oct 23, notified of shipment with estimated Dec 5 delivery. Then yesterday, I received an update that estimated delivery is now Nov 22nd. Holding my breath…..

I agree it’s wrong if I got bumped ahead but like I said, we’ll see. Could be that the dealer doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Could be the specs I chose (Lariat, Tremor, moonroof). Apparently dealerships have certain amounts of models allocation. I don’t understand the process. Who knows. I’ll post when I hear more.

Tangental to this discussion, I can't help but wonder how Ford handled prioritizing production of the hot selling 1955-57 T-Birds and the even hotter selling 1964 1/2 -1965 Mustangs in the stone age BC [Before Computers] I don't recall if the Pinto enjoyed the same level of popularity to the extent it was backordered.

Ordered a 24 lariat hybrid 7/17 BAP sunroof from Awesome ford. They had allocations in front of mine. Didn't tell me how many. Now I just wait for y'all to bring up scheduling post then I know to watch for email. Other than that, no biggie and don't stress or think about it. It will show up when it does.

No idea, no options other than XLT and not a hybrid. It's also the top multi brand Pickup Truck dealer in GA (Ford, GMC, Ram, Chevy, etc.), so maybe they get allocated more, complete guess but that's why I chose them. I'm Maverick order #45, so my guess is they order VERY FEW mavericks compared to the rest of the Trucks they sell from all the manufacturers.

What's the backlog of 22-23 unbuilt XLTs? Maybe at 13k trucks a month they're clearing it?
