There isn't much difference between MSRP and invoice on Mavericks. The 2024 Lariat may have a little more with the former options now in the base price. My 2023 Lariat x plan savings was less then the invoice my dealer was charging.

Dealers do not have to accept x plans and it excludes most other offers/rebates.
Wait wait wait, you mean to tell all of us that your bought a new Maverick for invoice!?!? If so please tell me so I can buy from that dealer!!!!!!!!!!!!

For 2022, the basic formula for the X plan was Invoice-0.4% + $275. For me that translated to a $509 savings. And for me anyway, the PIN was good for a year. I also qualified for 0% financing at the time and so was not affected by the X plan. Of course that has since gone bye bye. And in case anyone is wondering, your financing rate locks in at the time of order. If the rate has improved by the time of delivery you would of course use that.

Make no mistake, the dealer is well compensated under X-Plan, or A-Plan, or any of the other Ford discounting plans. It takes the unpleasant negotiations out of the equation. My dealer, Pat Milliken Ford in Redford, MI (one of the larger Ford dealers in the nation) does a majority of its business with Ford employees, retirees, and or friends and family, so they don't charge these outrageous fees that some dealers do (the doc fees, the MSRP +$5000, etc.). They deliver our cars to us from Michigan to NC. So if anyone is eligible for A-Plan or X-Plan, (Maverick or not, doesn't matter) and your dealer is trying to jerk you around, time to get another dealer. Many of the dealers in SE Michigan are similar in their respect this way because this is the land of Ford. Not so in other parts of the country. If you are sitting at a salesman's desk, and he has the VIN of your vehicle up on the screen. ALL the invoice amounts are on that screen, and they should show you if you ask.

Last year, we bought my daughter's end of lease 2020 Escape Hybrid and she make about $10K selling it to CarMax. Thinking we could do the same with the two end of lease vehicles we just turned in (2021 Bronco Sport and 2019 Flex), our dealer gave us enough in end of lease appreciation to make it not worthwhile to go through the process of buying it, getting a title, paying the tax and then immediately flipping it to CarMax. So there was about $3-$4K "profit" on turn in of these two cars for which we now have a 2023 Maverick and 2023 Escape Hybrid.

It's all about the dealer and how they treat you. This is why my dealer is 600 miles away. I'd never get such good treatment here in NC from the local dealers.

It looks like you have to be a member of certain groups or work for a company that participates. I do not work for a company listed on the sheet I found. Is there a way around it or is there a very inexpensive group to join to obtain this?

I was eligable for the X-Plan and Farm Bureau, the dealer would not accept either. The only reason I went through with the purchase was because I had to wait 6 months for it to come in. This was my first Ford truck in 30 years and it is the last Ford I will ever purchase. Over the past 15 years I have purchased 10 new GM vehicles and have never experienced the runaround I got from Ford and their dealer. In a couple of years I will be back to a Chevy Colorado.

Mustang Club of America is the simplest. I think their digital membership is less than $50. Search here and you'll find others listed.

Finally arrived!!! Hot Pepper Red XLT finally arrived this week after 12 months. Have an X Plan Friends and Neighbors and the dealer told me the pricing was higher using the X Plan. Sounds strange. What's the value of having the plan if it's not going to help the pricing. (Tried to search X plan for the answer on this forum, but couldn't find anything.)

The discount in Canada is $803.00 so prob about $500 in USA. It should be cheaper.

I just took a look and it is pretty inexpensive for a 1 yr membership. sounds like a good deal. now to see if my dealer participates, before signing up... lol.

I believe it is up to the dealer but in most cases they will not allow you to stack discounts. The biggest benefit of X plan is it limits dealer doc fees. So if your dealer has a low doc fee like say $200 then it would be better to take the farm bureau discount.
X plan caps dealer fee at $100.
my dealers normal fee is $995 , with x plan they charge $75.

$1295 is one of the largest I have ever heard for a doc fee. Absolutely insane for a pure dealer profit fee.
Welcome to Florida :(. Dealers here can charge whatever they want for a dealer fee.

So not only do they charge a dealer fee of $1198 but then they charge an additional $2495 for their stupid add on program. This is before any ADM that they might charge.

Following up to this. My dealer in Illinois does accept it and I joined MCA. It was about $35. $35 to possibly save $1500?? Ummm yes please.

Yes ; you can combine X-plan and other discounts, First responder/Military/Farm Bureau/ETC. depending on your zip code. (example attached)

My dealer told me that with. X-plan I can also use military/first responder. But they said Farm Bureau can NOT be used with X-plan. They checked while I was at the dealership. I believe they were checking a Vincent page?
