I know there is a lot of optimism about all the trucks getting built this year. However, does everyone think that for the hybrids as well given the constants? I'm tempted to convert my order to the ecoboost.

If you are going to tow more than 1500 pounds get the Ecoboost . If you want the best gas mileage get the hybrid . I have the hybrid , 38-42 mpg vs 25-30 for the eco boost . If you live in a city and don’t tow get the hybrid . Sometimes I get 45-50 mpg when doing a lot of city driving . Don’t worry about the power and excelleration . The truck is light and has a sport mode that makes it feel like a sports car

Based on what the @fordvideoguy says on his YouTube channel, I am confident my hybrid order will get built this model year. I am telling myself that it may likely be May or June by the time I get it but I do think it will be built. For what it’s worth, I had an opportunity to buy a Lariat EB Tremor. But it was marked up a little over 2k from MSRP (which was a lower markup than many dealers) and I have almost changed my hybrid order to an EB. Both situations I was tempted for the same reason as you. But after thinking through it, and disregarding the excitement I felt on getting one sooner, I came to the conclusion that what I really want is a hybrid. I don’t need towing capability. I want the best gas mileage I can get as I feel gas prices are just going increase. So I’m sticking to my plan and being patient and waiting on my hybrid no matter how long that takes. At least that’s what I tell myself today. If my dealer called me and had a MY24 Lariat EB for MSRP available for me it would take a lot of will power to pass it over 😜

If you do, do it soon. Based on the constraints reports here, along with some other Ford info, total hybrid production is likely to be between 65,000 and 82,000. Current orders are likely over halfway (maybe even 2/3) of that total already based on the percentages week to week, but it's likely every current hybrid order will be built plus some room left in the remainder of the schedule.

Of course, that also depends on whether your dealer has an any hybrid allocations remainng. If they already ordered as many as they're expecting to get for the year, then you'll have to look elsewhere. Or if they only have a couple left, there's a chance you could get built as late as next November.

Given the new shifts they put on, the easing on supply chains, and the fact they didn't get slowed much by the strike, I'm optimistic it'll happen.

Hang in there . It’s worth the wait . It’s cool getting over 600 miles on a 13.8 gallon tank of gas . It’s addictive . I’ll never buy another non hybrid Vehicle for the rest of my life

What GDaniel wrote is spot on. I purchased a 22 EB off the lot 10/2022 to tide me over until my order for a 23 hybrid was built. My 23 order rolled over to a 24 hybrid which shipped yesterday. Buy what suits your needs. My EB is a joy to drive. I test drove a hybrid before ordering and found it quiet and nice riding. I don't tow - just need a bed to carry things. With gas prices topping $5.00 where I live, economy is a priority. I get 31+ mpg in my EB when driving mostly freeway using a light foot.

We chose the hybrid as it was the only Maverick drive train that can be flat towed. We won't need to tow with it as it will be pulled behind our motorhome. The added plus will be the great gas mileage and covered bed for additional storage. We also plan to put a rack in the bed for carrying a small roof top boat. Supposed to be to the dealer by Nov 21st.

How does anyone get a actual 600 miles to a tank??? If I drive around the Costco parking lot after gassing up I get 999.9 mpg. But most of my driving is 45-70mph. So 600 miles per tank. Uhhhhhh really???
I suppose if one really never goes over 40 mph it could happen.
A few times my calculated mpg, miles divided by gallons comes out high 20's to low thirties. 600 miles lol never in my lifetime.

Hey David.....we bought our 23 hybrid for the same reasons.....great daily drive and want to pull it behind our Navion. I have not set it up yet, but want to know what setup will you go with to use it as a toad? Happy travels. Michael from AZ.

After looking at all the tow bar companies that had equipment for the Maverick (Roadmaster, Blue OX and Demco) We chose the complete Roadmaster system from NSA RV Products. We had them delete the lighting kit. I already had magnetic wireless rechargeable lighting that I wanted to try. Some of the pros included a surge brake system so no tapping into the vehicle wiring system and no expensive electronic brake system required. ReadyBrute has thousands of test miles on their system, great Youtube videos from customers and great customer service. It's also USA made and supported. The only downside that I can see is you have to modify the active shutter system on the Maverick. But Ford has already done some of that due to a service recall. This system will support an 8000lb toad.

There are lots of choices for flat towing. Hope this helps.... We will be pulling ours behind a Coach House 272 XL.

I routinely get in the mid 40s and spend the majority of my time on cruise control 61mph. My observation - the mpg falls off after 62 and above (faster you go the less mpg but still beats anything I've ever owned my a long shot).
