Cant find good place for cell phone magnetic holder

EZ to find a good spot for cell phone holder.....especially the Torres simple magnetic one......thinking about returning it and just leave the phone in the cutout above the radio on dash. Any. Suggestions? I'm trying to refrain from having one of those big old clunky looking cell phone holders. I want something very streamline as I can get.

Here is what I am using for my ScanGauge:

The arm is this. It's a 17mm ball mount meant for a photography tripod with a 1/4-20 threaded hole in the base. I pulled the top cubby off and drilled a hole through the top of the side cubby then used a large machine screw to mount the arm. The socket is the magnetic mount that came with the ScanGauge but you can use pretty much anything as long as it has a 17mm socket. It is rock solid and doesn't vibrate at all.

I cant safely follow my turn by turn routing from Google maps, etc .....my eyes would be looking down constantly. Not a good idea for me, anyway.

Extremely happy with it. Installation was simple. Will go into all my mods in one thread once I get the majority of them in within the next few days to a week. But here is a few pics of it installed. For $45 it was worth it.

Some have issues with it not fitting. Have to push the screen a smidge to the left to get the metal clip to seat between the plastic dash & screen. But once it does, it's there. And no shake on my phone while driving. Very solid.

i believe you made a good choice. I have had this phone mount from Course Motorsports installed for over a year and it works great. The mount location is great for viewing the phone screen and also does not block or hinder access to anything else in dash area.

I may be missing something but if you plug in your phone, car/play will display your phone screen on the larger display - I use it this way and love it! There’s no looking down at a small screen Yet you have full use of your phone from the touch screen display in the truck

This is the way, If you actually need to look at the map. If I use Google maps at all, I just let it speak when/where the next turn is coming up.

I have 2 mounted side by side. One is mounted to a cubby insert found on eBay. The other mounts to a ProClip base designed for the Maverick. Here is the charger/ phone holder. It has an adhesive back that could mount anywhere.

Saw a video last evening from a MTC member who posted YT vid of the Tesla mount which worked GREAT on Mavs. I ordered on AMZ this AM and will receive by 11.000 AM tomorrow! Looking forward to arrival.

+1 for the Course Motorsport solution. 10 months in use, no adjustments or problems. Small coiled c-usb pigtail when needed, leaving the larger USB for tunes. Too easy!

How does that hook in the cubby? Is it screwed into the plastic?

3M tape holds it up (I actually used this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09K58K13V/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1).
I've had mine up for about 11 months / 27k miles and it still holds strong.
