I have a 23 Hybrid with 2200 miles on it. I went to turn on the light in the bed and got nothing. I never did test the two power outlets when I picked up the truck, but the light did worked previously. I did start the truck to try the outlets. The light should work without starting. I assume these are using the same fuse. I could probably figure out which one to check, but I want the dealer to address it so that it is documented. I called the dealer and asked if they could check the fuse real quick see if that was the issue. Nope, you need to drop it off (next appointment available is 10/17). Since I need to drop it off, I am having them look at the center speaker grill as it does not fit flush and I have to stare at it every time I drive. I was going to let the speaker issue sit until I had a significant warranty issue, so I guess this is it. BTW, this is not the best users manual I have had, but better then the instructions I get from anything made in China.

There isn't a fuse for the cargo lamp. It's all controlled by the BCM.
This is the lamp by the tailgate with the power outlet, not the one above the real window.

Yes. They're both on the same circuit. The BCM switches them via internal FET including disabling if it detects an overcurrent/short in lieu of a fuse (this is common for much of the vehicle lighting).

If the cab cargo lamp is working then you have an issue with the underbed harness which also would go hand-in-hand with the inverter outlet not working as it passes through the same C404 connector.

Thank you. Cargo lamp does work. I appreciate having some information before going in for service.

Darnon, You nailed it, the wiring harness had somehow become disconnected. All fixed!

Where was the connector at?
I assume it's around the left rear of the bed. As you know with dealerships, you never get to talk to the technician, so I do not even know what the real issue was. I am guessing that there may have been a connection that was not fully seated and it worked it's way loose.

I installed cargo lights via the spare plug (pigtail)on the tailgate pillars. They work for a while then stop working until I disconnect the power at the fuse box, then they work again for a while. The fuse is always good so I'm guessing the BCM keeps turning them off for some reason.

I don't know if they are using the same wires, but it turned out there was a loose connection under the bed that the dealer resolved.
