Bad battery truck to disable auto start/stop

Has anyone tried hooking up a bad battery to their Maverick to disable the auto start/stop? A buddy’s Ford had a battery than went bad and it disabled this feature and when they got the new battery put in the garage didn’t reset that. Works great. Wondering if this works on the Maverick?

Sounds like an awful amount of effort and expense to avoid taking half a second to hit a button every time you start the vehicle.

Yup but less work than modding the switch/installing one of those warranty wrecking devices. And actually pretty easy wiring the battery cables to a bad battery with Jumper cables.

Not wanting to start argument but i dont think installing a device to bypass the stop start ruins your warranty.being said,i have one and beats the heck out of pushing a button everytime you start the truck !
