Holy shit what a surprise this morning! I was worried that the Tremor package would push me back several months at least. Will cross my fingers that the strike doesn't throw the proverbial wrench into the works... 🀞

Been stalking the forums and watching this thread today, Saw your post and got excited our's may have been picked at Midland Ford as well. Wife got the email shortly after you !

  • ⏰ Time email was received: 10:31 AM EST
  • πŸ“… Your scheduled build week: 12/18/23
  • πŸ”’The last 5 digits of your VIN with the last two numbers X'd out: 210XX
  • πŸ›» All relevant build info: Atlas Blue Lariat Hybrid + Power moonroof + BAP

That's awesome! I was starting to lose hope and start looking at other vehicles. Everyone tells me I'm crazy for as long as I have, but i know there's people who have waited longer or still waiting. Crazy times we live in.

It's frustrating to see new orders get scheduled when you have been waiting but the system is complex. People that are getting scheduled with new orders are probably at dealers where they did not have any carryover orders or ordered an ecoboost. Your order isn't fulfilled at a national level but at a dealer level. Meaning that you need to compare where you sit based on the orders at your dealer and how many allocations they receive. Aliso your configuration can have a bigger impact than when you ordered. Make sure you don't have bed accessories like Tonneau Cover, bed extender, splash guards, etc. That would help your chances. I'm not saying I agree with the prices just explaining how orders are selected.
Ecoboost, XLT, and according to Ford Customer Service "clean, unscheduled".

Ford notice indicates it will be a Lariat day. Ford's actual scheduling software appears to be eyeballing XLs and XLTs as well. We'll see shortly.

This this (I know how to spell) is unbelievable.
Ordered (or pre-ordered, whatever the difference is) in March 22.
Moved into 23, on 9/16/22.
Priority code 02, according to the dealer.
When what to my wondering eyes did appear, a number of orders from not just 2023, but in just the past few months of this year.
I just do not understand the alchemy of the process.
Just.
Can't.
Get.
It.
Can't.
Unfortuantely, "pre-order" doesn't bode well. The order banks did not open until September '22, so your order sat doing nothing on a salesperson's desk for the first 6 months. That also means 6 months of other "pre-orders" could have been taken (or 8 with the two months prior after MY22 closed) without the dealership knowing how many allocations they would end up with for 23 + whatever 22 rollovers they had. So the queue at your dealership could be very long.

Say they have 39 allocations this year and had 39 rollovers because of the original pre-orderds and didn't take new orders this year - they're going to get 3 Mavericks a month, on average. They're all rollovers and priority 2, so build selection comes down to options. If most are similar to your build, that means even your prioritized rollover could still be made Month 13 of the production run next November since that's when they'll get to the end of their allocation backlog.

It's a good time to have a chat with your dealer and ask if the will share their current number of orders, rollover and new, and how many allocatoins they have remaining. It may be in your best interest to go call around and find another dealer who has open allocations for your build right now - if the private offer is something you can stand to lose - and submit a new order instead.

Ford's priority system is a joke, but not really funny. FIFO is the fair way to handle orders. How can a small dealer get orders in a timely fashion, when the mega dealers get so many allocations? My conclusion is the allocation system stinks! My order is at 388 days for an XL Ecoboost, with full size spare and tow hitch and still waiting to be scheduled.

OK, now that we have a "Ford is planning to start your build on 11 December 2023" what does that mean in reality?

How long from "start to build" until it rolls out the door? (assuming it really starts on that date)

Then how long from "it's done" until it's on a train car?

Then how long from "it's on the train car" until it's in Kansas City?

Then how long from "it's in the train yard in Kansas City" until "it's in Salina, come and get it!"?

I suspect the answer is...it depends.

Just trying to guess...February 2024?

I have a 2023 Maverick XLT Lux that I bought in February, so I will have to unload that (sell outright? Carmax? Trade-In?) before I take the new one.

Congratulations to everyone this week that got scheduled. Here is the break down for us if interested.
123 orders
19 XL Ecoboost
17 XLT Ecoboost (2 BAP)
28 XLT Hybrid (2 BAP)
11 Lariat Ecoboost (5 Tremor, 1 BAP)

Sorry if this is a dunce question, but are these trucks that were newly scheduled this month? Meaning, 123 people who ordered a Maverick from LM got scheduled in October?

You must be Wyck my videos because you answered your own question, lol. It depends. At this point you are scheduled to the week of 12/11, not scheduled to the day yet. That date will be given (and could move around) when you get closer to the build week.

LOL, yes, pretty regularly... I usually don't listen live, but I'll watch the recorded videos, just to get the important information.

Wow, isn't that about a third of your rollover orders in a single month? Guess it pays to have priority and allocations. :D

Correct. We are the number 3 Maverick dealer in the country with 325 carryover orders.
