Our dealer put in the first tank. I recently refueled. I stopped when the hose clicked off. The first tank was trending to a range of 650 miles. This one about 560 miles. I have a few questions if anyone has some answers.

1. Some of you are coming up with a gallon total for fuel in the tank after refueling. I have no idea how to do that.

2. In out subaru, I always topped the tank beyond the hose shut off,. So I don't know if when fueling the Maverick it was actually full. How do I know if it is actually full when I am adding gas?

I have been thinking the dealer put more in the tank than I did. Did not have a problem with that first load. I've been thinking to trying going specific amounts beyond the shut off, over time to see how things work.

GPSMan is known for misinformation! Across the Ford line their vehicles have pockets in the gas tanks that allow for expansion...that is why we don't have gas caps. It is very clear in the owners' manual that you should never over fill the gas tank that can cause gas tank pressure issues. The owners' manual could not be clearer.
