Bluetooth bed speakers installed

The bed is done. I added some Pyle marine Bluetooth speakers. LED strips, switches and USB ports from Amazon. The speakers run independently of the truck's sound system - so mostly for when I'm working outside or hanging out. They're waterproof and made for marine applications, and sound decent for a bluetooth speaker system. The power is switched there, the factory bed power supply runs for about an hour and a half after you shut the truck off, and the usb port has a volt meter so I can keep an eye on the battery level. These are 6" speakers, and are just a little big, necessitating cutting the switches and ports back just a bit to fit. If I could have found 4 1/2" speakers, that would have been better, and would have allowed use of a couple of cubbies

I do like my cubbies but that is a nice install. So do the speakers have built in blue tooth or is it attached to them? I may do something like that and mount them in the back corners of our topper. I do love how the power is ran back there and easy to access.

The Bluetooth is built in to one powered speaker. Having the bed prewired for power (and even a harness included) is a really well thought out feature. .

I saw those, and like the size, but they're built to mount to a pole - a rollbar or such, and wouldn't mount to a flat surface.

Didnt even think about that. Good chance those could still be flat mounted with that bolted on faceplate to the housing? Maybe? Either way you are already done and got some nice sized speakers back there.

I like this a lot. I might do this for my left side, as we do spend a lot of time outside listening to music. Would love to see/hear some video on the sound it if you ever find yourself bored and wanting to make a random video. LOL

I'm really interested in the padding you have on the sides of the bed. I have the Ford bed rug but it looks like you were able to find something that matched the rug perfectly. Can you share that info?

Bedrug comes in full liner now, not just the bottom.

Oh, of course, after I already purchased with bottom only. Does anyone know how I can get just the side covers without needing to order the bottom.
