Does anyone know this knocking noise on Hybrid Maverick?

I was driving down the highway and I started to hear a knocking. It only does it when the ICE is running.

both CV shafts are bad and am waiting parts.

is this an engine knock?
it doesn’t seem to speed up the knock as I’m going faster but is very random. It started doing it a few weeks ago but I thought it was someone else’s vehicle.

That could be cv joints. If the engine was knocking that loud it probably would disintegrate.

Not cv joints... they will click when turning sharp like in a parking lot.
I have no idea what that is but it's not cv joints.... Also you need to stay in the second lane from right.

It doesn’t sound like anything cv related.
But it does sound like some sort of engine knock. I drove it today for 50miles and no sounds at all. It’s odd. I’m very rehearsed in vehicles, I’ve built plenty of hot rods, but I’ve had some dumb luck with this truck since I bought it

See if you correlate it to times the engine is shutting off going to EV.

. I just purchased a 2023 Maverick Lariat and it started doing the same thing. It's not constant and seems to be intermittent. It only has 3,300 mi on it. I've had the truck for a week and it started doing this 2 days ago

FYI in a hybrid someone reported that he had a defective roll restrictor (one of motor mounts) and had his mounts replaced as the ice was rocking back and forth. ONLY one instance, though. Should only happen when ice under load?

Thanks for the response. My Maverick isn't a hybrid so I don't know if that matters.
I drove it this morning and it started about 1 mile out, lasted about 3 sec. The next 3 miles nothing.
Then, when returning home it did it for about 7 sec then dissipated. Sometimes soft, sometimes loud. There seems to be no rhyme or reason.

Ford just issued a notice regarding engine block replacement if you are getting an illuminated Malfunction Indicator Lamp and/or a knocking noise from the engine. The notice is 23N06. Get your truck over to your dealer asap.

Well, I feel like a boob. Yesterday I climbed under the front of the truck and the lower bumper cover and skid plate are torn up. It's missing several fasteners and was rattling. Looks like someone hit something big.
I didn't notice it when doing a walk around because you really only see it if stand back about 10/15 feet.
Contacted the dealership about it but, of course, they said the vehicle had been inspected prior to me purchasing it and won't do anything.

oh well, lesson learned.
Anyone know a good place to buy a lower bumper cover?
