Ok friends some questions for the car geniuses on here.

Are all the stock Maverick lug nuts two piece and if so are they likely to cause a problem with swelling down the road, even if I live in a drier desert climate?

I am thinking of going to black since I have the BAP on a Lariat. Especially if the consensus is to replace stock.

Any recommendations from those in the know or who have already switched them out?

Thanks in advance for your input!

I used to live in Northern Michigan and had a 2018 F-150, I switched out to solid chrome lug nuts due to the stock two piecers kept swelling up, especially with all the salt and stuff on the roads during the winter months.

Are we looking at the same page and reviews? The one I linked has 80% 5 star with overall 4.5 stars.

Now you got me corn fused!! :ROFLMAO:

Yes sir, 80% 5-star, but 7% 1-star. How many people post a review before they spend some time with the product?

I have had good luck with the LUG NUT GUYS on ebay.
I purchased these blue Lug nuts and have never had a problem with the quality or anything.
They have all different sizes and colors.

I'm in Sacramento where rust is not a problem. When I worked at the Ford dealer I saw numerous lug nut failures because they get beat up by impact guns.

When I worked parts at the Fleet Center I would buy solid chrome lug nuts at a nearby Les Schwab Tire all of the time. I have a set of solid lug nuts on my Amazon wish list and will be ordering them soon.

100%, you get what you pay for. I spent about $60 on a set of McGard locking lugnuts and they still look brand new over a year later plus the black lugnuts look a lot better. As for the stock lugnuts, yes, Ford is still using the 2 piece lugnuts and they will eventually swell and cause a problem.

I heard a rumor that Green Valley is home of many from Northern Michigan, especially the Traverse City area. We just moved to SC two years ago from Traverse City. Visited the Phoenix area two years ago, too much dirt, not enough trees to our liking. I know Green Valley is south of Phoenix, but just wondering if any truth about the Traverse City connection?

If only McGard would make a 13/16"-21mm hex, rather than the 22.
