OK you turned off DTRL, but why?Mine have never been on, glad you know more about my Maverick than I do.
For some reason, a segment of American's are hellbent on being less safe whenever possible.Maybe you can't but I can.
What is the down side to DRL's?
I didn't turn them off. They have never been on.OK you turned off DTRL, but why?
Less safe? How is not having them less safe? For some reason, a segment of American's are hellbent on being less safe whenever possible.
Visibility in so many scenarios. I have been driving with my headlights on full time since 1994, since I could drive, it's such a no brainer. Yes before DRL it cost me a few dead batteries forgetting to turn them off, so a jump pack was a must have for me. Now thankfully the car takes car of it.Less safe? How is not having them less safe?
Before answering my question here is my background, I am a 20+ year crash reconstructionist and have never seen a crash caused by lack of drl.
Visibility scenarios would be drivers inatention, not vehicle safety. Pay attention and no drl are needed.Visibility in so many scenarios. Pay attention and follow the traffic laws and you do not need to make your vehicle less visible and less safe.Visibility scenarios would be drivers inatention, not vehicle safety. Pay attention and no drl are needed.
It is like saying selt belts save lives, they do not, they reduce injury.
LEDs have a lifespan of 50,000 hours, which is 5.7 years. Assuming you only average 30MPH, that is still 1.5 million miles. The truck will go bad before the LEDs.Each headlight costs $1000+ to replace so if I can do something to make em last longer I will
"less safe" because the government says soLess safe? How is not having them less safe?
How exactly is not having drl on less safe?Pay attention and follow the traffic laws and you do not need to make your vehicle less visible and less safe.
Nanny State, does not equal freedom."less safe" because the government says so![]()
I highly doubt our freedoms are going to hell because of LED DRLs.Nanny State, does not equal freedom.
It is sad people just step in line instead of being the most important part of freedom, individuals.
I highly doubt you comprehended that I was speaking in a general term about the whole Nanny State.I highly doubt our freedoms are going to hell because of LED DRLs.
