Once again the XL's come up on the short end. $205.00 more for the base truck, $100 more for shipping, $225.00 more for bed rails. Offer is $530 short of the 23 price. Thanks for posting this information. You are good to keep us up with the latest information!

Looks like one more week of 23s at least. Still doesn't say anything about balancing out. Just Clean-up.

So it looks like most people will either come out ahead or pay a little bit more under this private offer.

The only people that will have to pay a significant amount more are the people who ordered a basic Lariat non lux package, no co pilot 360 and no 360 assist. They will have to add all of those features to their 2024 order without any assistance.

I wonder how many unscheduled orders fit that criteria? I'm guessing not too many.

Wow, I am one of those unlucky few…if I understand this I will have to pay thousands more for my BASE hybrid Lariat after the $2500 private offer for options I didn’t want…is that correct?

Before order banks opened last year Ford said there would be ZERO rollover private offer / price protection, so anyone that was not a '22 to '23, should be happy that Ford did a 180 and is offering anything at all. I understand salt from anyone that somehow didn't get delivery of their '22 to '23 rollover.

What Ford said was that they had "no plan" for private offer/price protection at the beginning of 2023 ordering. They didn't say "ZERO". They said the same thing at the beginning of 2022 ordering - but then they did. So while Ford hasn't had a plan since the Model T, this was not unexpected if not predictable.
So, no, I'm not "happy" about paying more (even with the private offer) for less (no sliding rear window or inverter).

This isn’t true at all. They said they had no plan on private offers

Also why would I be happy about a company who promised to build me a truck within the year I ordered and then couldn’t. So now I have to pay even more money then before while getting less features that were standard last year?

And for those who are going to say “Ford didn’t promise you anything”. When you place an order for an item with a year production label 2023. That is a promise

What is the solution for this problem?

Exactly.
Ordering the first hour of the first day for a new model year - and you can't get me the truck that year - crap.

Thanks. So no dealer allocations.
What do I care about dealers?
And this "allocations" is such a stupid system if it is a real system at all and not just a word thrown at us by Ford to blame the dealers for not getting our trucks.
What do we care about dealers being rewarded for selling more Edges or punished for not selling enough Explorers or whatever the allocations mean?
Ideally order it online and have it delivered to my driveway. What is the point of these dealers?
Yeah first come first serve. They had enough hybrid batteries to build my XL. They put it in lariats ordered days after I ordered mine.
Yeah I wanted the base model hybrid. That's what this truck is all about. I don't understand getting butt warmers and a gas only engine for $38,000 on this budget truck. Ford offered an attractive, affordable economical, small truck and then were shocked that people wanted it. And then build the gas only luxury versions.
