Dealer added packages I didnt order

I guess I got lucky. I ordered a '23 with Lariat Lux and CP360's. Ten months later, when the salesman DELIVERED the truck TO MY HOME, His sales sheet and my estimate sheet were only off by about $300 IN MY FAVOR. No deposit, no adds ons, no BS. Never even talked to the finance manager, so I didn't get a pitch about extended warranty.
Roling Ford of Shell Rock Iowa. From what I see on this forum, they are in the minority of honest dealers. Forty miles from me, but the dealer 20 miles from me insisted on a $500 deposit. I walked and went to Roling Ford. Glad I did.

Without the lux package, and Co pilot 360, the Lariat will be missing all the upgrades that you will want. Anyone who buys a Lariat without them, later on regrets not getting them. Talk to your dealer and try to get them to lower the cost to you. Don't lose your truck.

I didn't order Lux or 360 on my Lariat and don't miss either one. I have AM radio(all I ever listen to) and a swivel neck to see what's going on around me, no need for the other whistles and bells that can break. I bet I haven't looked at the backup camera twice in the year I've owned my Maverick.

Yes, you could. But I don't think many were ordered that way!
Did your XLT include Lux Pkg? It is possible that some options were "automatically" selected based on what the original order was? I do work at a Ford dealership and use WBDO. I can't recall an exact parallel to this...but I do think it is possible that it was due to how WBDO acted (and them not confirming the updated build with you), rather than someone deliberately adding packages to your order.

No my original order was for xlt tremor with sunroof and sliding rear glass as only options.

When I emailed to change I just requested upgrade to lariat and removal of rear sliding window. As the lariat package come with power sliding window.

Ahh ok. I messed around on WBDO making a 23 stock order trying to recreate your situation and nothing "funny" happened.

Well I just spoke with my salesman and of course when I brought it up he acted confused at first.

Then he said the lux package comes with the lariat package. I told him I knew they combined them for the 24 models but was pretty sure they were separate for 23.

He eventually just said "well that's how it was ordered". Sounds like it's going to be a take it or leave it kind of deal.

I'll probably still grab it when it comes provided they don't try anymore BS. Just kinda soured the whole experience for me.

Yeah, really sucks that there are such bad dealerships out there. We found a good one in GA that our family ordered 7-8 vehicles from. In FL I was fortunate that a friend was a long time customer of a dealership that seems pretty good so far. No "required" add-ons and $150 in document fees vs the 1k that most Fl dealers charge. Plus, our sales lady(young lady really) is the owner's daughter. If we need another Ford in the future, they've earned our business.

You will be glad it was added. A Lariat without the lux package will be missing lots of features expected with a Lariat.
