Question: So, I have not been notified that the '23 I ordered & did the COVP, September 17, 2022 is in production. I received a couple of the "45 day" emails. I guess there is a slim chance it could get scheduled ... I would qualify for the private offer described above. Meanwhile, I ordered the same build from the same dealer when the order bank opened in June 2023 for the '24's. I did the COVP again for that order. I have not received any communication from Ford. My dealer emailed me an order to sign and provide my I.D. with, so I have a dealer order form. Should I be worried because Ford has not reached out to me in any way since I did the COVP?
Defendable?.....you are probably very correctThere is absolutely no defendable reason as to why ANY 2022 order is not fulfilled by now. Ordering began almost TWO YEARS ago...
Yes, there are indeed still people with MY22 orders that still have no Maverick. I've seen nothing from Ford to indicate that they will prioritize those orders for MY24 either. Maybe they'll get to stack a MY24 private offer too. Shoot, keep stacking those private offers into the model refresh at this point. This is not a constraint issue and it hasn't been for quite some time, this is a mismanagement issue with their stupid allocation practices.I haven't been keeping up with this community as religiously as I had before I got my Maverick, is there really still some people who ordered a 22 that have gotten skipped over for a second year straight?!That's insane, there has to be some dealer neglect with the failure to move those orders out of priority 99, right?
Even if an order was fully loaded with constrained options, Ford wouldn't have the gall to ignore it for a second year would they? And correct me if I'm wrong but there hasn't been options that are at 0% availability, has there? That would be the only thing that would make it somewhat understandable, but damn that would suck...
Yes they are getting priority. The offer letter states that #32172 is for 22MY to 24MY that were unscheduled.Yes, there are indeed still people with MY22 orders that still have no Maverick. Says right in the memo "Can be applied to ANY 24MY configuration", so I would got back and point out to him that his 30 years has apparently been a waste of time in learning what he was doing. If I had an XLT hybrid ordered in 2023 I’d get the $3400. Can I apply this $3400 to an XL hybrid order for 2024? My dealer seems to be under the impression that I can’t change trims/body code from 2023 to 2024 and still use the private offer. I’ve heard otherwise and am having trouble correcting them because the sales manager “has been doing this for 30 years I know what I’m doing”
advice? Any hard data to show them?
Where does it say those orders are being prioritized? You are setting yourself up for failure if that's what you are inferring. Ford has demonstrated multiple times now that these private offers in no way construe qualifying orders will be prioritized. I thought that would be obvious at this point.Yes they are getting priority. The offer letter states that #32172 is for 22MY to 24MY that were unscheduled.
Having to pay ONLY $305 but getting a year newer vehicle isn't something I'd be upset about.Buying any new car is a losing proposition. Consider yourself lucky it's only $305. The XL probably has the lowest profit margin.
It’s a very common ford tactic. Simple logic proves there is nothing preventing ford from building the trims that are ordered vs deciding themselves.I know the XL has the lowest profit margin, but why not just make it even with the price increase?
It’s just plain greed on Ford’s part. If they don’t want to make a low profit on a vehicle, then don’t offer it for sale. It’s that simple
Instead they BS around with low production and stringing people along for years waiting to see IF they even get lucky to have their order get built. There is a HUGE demand for basic trucks that doesn’t cost $35k or more. But Ford like many companies would rather artificially drive the market to higher price vehicles that nobody can afford
It’s pathetic
My thoughts exactly. While my preferred Alto Blue is no longer available, I like the idea of a '24 with all the updates for not much more money than my '23 order.Having to pay ONLY $305 but getting a year newer vehicle isn't something I'd be upset about.
Go read the memo posted today. In the summary it refers to memo dated 06/30/23. That is when the MY23-MY24 process was specified.Where does it say those orders are being prioritized?
