And the re-sale value of hybrids is terrible. I think its a financial loser.
Well, CarMax seems to disagree with you. They paid me $36,500 for my '22 Hybrid Lariat with 5600 miles on it...

At 25,000 miles a year, you are at 250,000 miles in 10 years! I think it's a bit of a stretch to assume the truck is running that long and/or your fuel savings are 100 percent pocketed along the way. Seems to me you're going to have a fair bit of other maintenance and repair costs over a quarter million miles.
Are you suggesting that any alternative vehicle in this price range (including the Maverick Ecoboost) will NOT have other maintenance and repair costs over that same time period?

I caved on my 23 XL hybrid w Co-Pilot 360 & tow hitch. Rolled over to 24 XL Ecoboost. Decided, while I was at it, to add AWD ($2220) & 4K tow pkg ($645 over tow hitch). Base price ($23,400) is up $1205 from 23 price, D&D up $100. Will see if Ford will at least offset the $1305. My original order went in 9/20/22.

There's still hope! My original order date was also 9/20/23, and I got a scheduled build date of 09/05. My order is an XLT, though, so I know I had the better chance.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Historically, hybrids have proven over the long term to have lower maintenance costs than normally aspirated vehicles. (Let alone turbocharged, direct injected ones).

Who would have guessed we'd be two weeks into order banks being open with no announcement regarding when they'll close?!?
Guess Ford advising dealers what their projected allocations are in advance of order banks opening really has helped matters this year.

For those that are financing their Maverick....I am sure the Fed raising the interest rate has something to do with it...
It’s 7% now😡

I'm 80 and have been through this type economy before. Bottom line is it's do you need it and if you do you will pay it. It's more how long you owe the money than what the rate is. Work overtime or get a second job or whatever but make higher payments than scheduled. One of my nephews paid off his $171k house in 41 months. It's possible that next year 7% will be cheaper than the rate then.

We’ll, if it comes in September (that means it will sit in San Diego 3 months) my CDs will mature, I’m selling my 2018 Kona for $18k so the loan if needed will be paid in a month. It doesn’t make sense to have a 7% auto loan when you have the money sitting in a 1% savings account.

Well yes and no in making sense of 7% loan. Are the paid on time as agreed payments needed to keep credit rating up? I have some at that rate or lower for rapid available xfer to checking if needed. I have some in a shipping company stock with variable profit share dividend, no guarantees but last qtr 13.2%. reports soon stock now $0.72 below avg cost. Of all things I am PO'd of having NOT purchased Carvana shares earlier this year for less than $5 per which hit $58 per on July 19 (no risk = no gain😊 but I made decision 👍).
NOW I'm going to triple my probability of winning Mega million = buy 3 tickets (yes I know that that's not mathematically speaking, true, but...). Remember the voice from above after telling Leroy six numbers 4 times and he did not win and complained said "Leroy You Must Buy A Ticket here is your last six numbers"!!! I don't think VA will put "You Must Buy Tickets" on my Marker🤷

Get 3 Cash back credit cards put no more than 24% of credit line on each card then switch to next card while paying each off in full every month. Be sure to put everything you can on the cards instead of checks unless a fee to pay with card is assessed. Insurance, car, homeowners, gas, groceries, fast food, etc. Depending on how they come due I can get up to half of my hybrid first edition 2.25% five year loan 709.18 payment paid. 🤗

No, you cannot. It tells you that on the FB cert.
I don't know what the x-plan discount is.

Could someone maybe start a thread explaining the different discounts, how much they are, and how to qualify for them?
