Auto nation Chevrolet arowhead in Peoria Arizona. Advertised deal on 4 cylinder Chevy 1500 back in March. Like $12500 rebate of msrp. I’ve known him for 35 years and feel fairly comfortable with hisA lot of people lie about what they pay for things. PM me the dealer that sold him a new 1500 for nearly $10k off for a base.
As to the price increase, inflation is 6% year over year the last couple of years. It's either Ford sells at a loss, or they keep up with inflation. It's not fun for anyone. For your wifes Lexus, solid cars, completely 100% different usage and comparison.
List your REAL WORLD new vehicle $30k options that are at least a little bit comparable to the Maverick.
My insurance company uses the yearly inspection process for total mileage. Suppose Ford has access to those things. Not to mention registrations have the VIN number. Does Ford have a computer program to do these queries checks, idk.And how exactly does Ford Know if you kept a Title for 6 months???
Is what you are describing an actual clause in X-Plan pricing requirements and restrictions (if yes, please cite accordingly).
Anyone can suppose anything, but try to keep it reasonable.
Getting the data (I suppose they may be able to access it via state transportation departments) is one thing. Following up on it all and trying to enforce any kind of penalty is another. My insurance company uses the yearly inspection process for total mileage. Suppose Ford has access to those things. The PENALTY, if any, is addressed to the entity that provided you with the ability to get an X-Plan PIN. Could be a "Friend/Family" pin from a Ford worker (they are allowed to give out 4 annually), or could be an agreement with a Ford parts supplier who is allowed to give PINs to its employees, could be Mustang Club of America which is allowed to give PINs to its members. Here is the part regarding sponsoring employees and what Ford can do.Getting the data (I suppose they may be able to access it via state transportation departments) is one thing. My guess it is EXCEEDINGLY RARE for any action to be taken. I think I can recall maybe one case involving a vehicle that ran well into the six figures. The odds of Ford coming after anyone for making $5K on a Maverick sit somewhere between slim and none.
There are a lot of "mays" in there. I also like the part about explaining the circumstances. "Well, someone offered me a lot of money for my vehicle, so I took it!"The PENALTY, if any, is addressed to the entity that provided you with the ability to get an X-Plan PIN. All I can say is that I very much appreciate the Friends & Family sponsor who gave me my last PIN, and would never want to cause him even the slightest discomfort by my not following the stated rules. There are a lot of "mays" in there. I really doubt Ford employs even one person who spends all his or her time tracking this stuff down. I could be wrong, and have never participated in any of these plans.
with regard to tracking the mileage, not all states have the safety inspection......My insurance company uses the yearly inspection process for total mileage. Suppose Ford has access to those things. Ford knows exactly where my truck is at all times...and it knows exactly what its mileage is at all times. But no "inspections" needed here in my corner of America.with regard to tracking the mileage, not all states have the safety inspection......
Planning your vehicle purchase now for what you think is going to happen 12 years in the future is a little strange. I very much doubt that's going to happen despite how much the EPA and some politicians want that to happen.Still thinking at $26K for a 2024-5 XL hybrid is a good deal in 15 months from now. 2035 will all be BEV, what will that cost us when a hybrid Mav dies in 12 years and can only be replaced with a BEV…
I agree, many dealers are not letting you know what you will be paying when ordering, it’s obviously a bait and switch to get the truck and either sell it to you at an absurd price over msrp or find another buyer who will pay, finance. Ford sends you a window sticker and says good luck with that dealer..we are out..Auto nation Chevrolet arowhead in Peoria Arizona. Advertised deal on 4 cylinder Chevy 1500 back in March. Im not even looking for another vehicle to replace the 2024 maverick I didn’t order. I was thinking of flipping or maybe giving it to my brother.
Vehicle prices are out of control. The only reason I even bought my 22 was such a great value it couldn’t be passed up.
I’m with you, there isint much new-to compare to a current maverick. But after living with the quality and build materials of it there’s some real value in a nice low mileage used vehicle. I even feel the build materials and panel alignment of a ranger is far superior to a maverick. For what? Less than another $4k?
Heck earlier this year you could get a Bolt for $24 plus the federal rebate if you want to compare economy.
What is the $500 Farm Bureau rebate? I have Farm Bureau (of Louisiana) for my auto and homeowner's insurance.I guess timing is everything. My wife’s Lariat hybrid got here this week. Fully loaded at just over $35K. Traded in 23 XLT hybrid with 5500 mi that has a MSRP under $29K. Got $34,000 trade in and after $500 Farm Bureau rebate up front, paid under $600 difference. After tax and all fees, just under $1,000 OTD difference. Talked to dealer today and they sold the trade the next day. Maverick is still hot commodity
You aren't wrong! That's where X-plan is helpful...and if your dealer won't agree to accept it, that is likely the first sign that you would be bent over when the truck arrives if you ordered there.I agree, many dealers are not letting you know what you will be paying when ordering, it’s obviously a bait and switch to get the truck and either sell it to you at an absurd price over msrp or find another buyer who will pay, finance. Farm Bureau will offer a $500 rebate/discount on any new Maverick purchased. You can either go online, contact your local FB office, or have the dealer get you a certificate for the $500. People use it by just joining Farm Bureau and do not even have insurance coverage with them. What part of the great state are you in? I was born, grew up there, went to college there, taught school all over there for many years before migrating (legally LOL) to TX. Still have family and friends in Alexandria area and Baton Rouge area. What is the $500 Farm Bureau rebate? I have Farm Bureau (of Louisiana) for my auto and homeowner's insurance.
