...Tacoma is not any better btw.
And the taco won't fit in my garage, either.
When the "new" Ranger was announced a few years back, I was hoping it would be around the size of the old Ranger, and I had planned to order one. I was very disappointed when it was announced it wouldn't be very much smaller than a 150. The Maverick is exactly the size I wanted. And Hybrid option sealed the deal on ordering one.

My main sales rep at my local Ford dealership told me that she’s only had 7 orders so far. Last year they 60 in the same time period. This is the entire dealership, 7 orders. I know it’s antidotal but that’s pretty shocking. What are you all seeing?

I may have been right…Only the official numbers will tell though.

A thing to remember here is that in September 2022, Ford did not give dealers an estimate of the number of allocations they would receive and the previous model year had used a system of COVP = allocation. This year dealerships received their allocation number before order banks opened and also know the projected hybrid/ecoboost ratio. That means most dealers who could sell more if they had the allocations stopped taking orders. Order banks have not even been open a week yet. Last year Ford had told dealers they would receive one week's notice before the order banks closed and that did not happen.

I need to look into generating this pin. I've been a MCOA member for almost a year now. I wonder if I need to reup if the pin is good for a year??? I could just generate the pin before my membership runs out, right?
I think you are correct, but I'm not a member of MCOA, so they don't let me see all their rules. What I do know is that you need to be a member at the Digital Level (minimum) for at least 90 days to be eligible for a PIN. I assume you just request one after a 90 day period of membership. Maybe a member of MCOA can chime in if I missed anything.

Every PIN I've had (Stock ownership or Friends & Family), showed an expiration date of 1 year after issuance date. That did not use to be an issue, but now, I am waiting for an actual scheduling date before getting a PIN. I went through a total of 3 PINs before using the last one to get my Maverick. The first ones expired.

I do know that you are SUPPOSED to retain titled ownership for at least 6 months when using X-Plan. Unenforceable to you, but I think the dealer gets a hit if you don't comply. Don't do that, as more dealers will likely refuse to honor X-Plan if you don't.

My dealer has a ‘23 XLT FX on the lot for 4 days now. Very surprised it hasn’t sold yet.

If you keep the title less than 6 months, suppose Ford could disable your ability to participate in future x-plan pricing.

I had an appointment to order a new one to add to the fleet.
I canceled my appointment after I seen the new pricing. It’s now a $30k truck for an xl hybrid by the time you drive off the lot.

I can be a cash buyer but I’m sure interest rates have gone up significantly in the past year as well?

Was a heck of a deal at $20k. $26k not nearly as much…

Friend of mine just bought a NEW Chevy 1500 crew cab. $33k. claims he’s averaging 24 mpg and has tons more features than an xl ford.

I found my wife a 2020 Lexus rx350 AWD with 29k miles for $34k just a few months ago. 10x nicer than any maverick ever built. And I suspect will last 4x as long as my maverick too. Even with the 30k mile head start?

I love my little maverick but at $30k and up there are a lot of options. Maybe not compact pickups but a lot of quality vehicles.

A lot of people lie about what they pay for things. PM me the dealer that sold him a new 1500 for nearly $10k off for a base.

As to the price increase, inflation is 6% year over year the last couple of years. It's either Ford sells at a loss, or they keep up with inflation. It's not fun for anyone. For your wifes Lexus, solid cars, completely 100% different usage and comparison.

List your REAL WORLD new vehicle $30k options that are at least a little bit comparable to the Maverick.

. Seems like a fair price to me and “no dealer junk”. By the way, I’m just a customer.

MSRP on that struck according to the sticker is $32,625 so it's about $3700 over MSRP. Not the worst we've seen but I personally wouldn't pick it up.

Talk 'em down to $2k and considering the MY24 hikes, maybe.

I stand corrected; that is way over MSRP per the sticker. Now I’m surprised this dealer added all the JUNK. I ordered my ‘22 Lariat from them which was delivered Dec 21, 2021. MSRP, NO add on’s. Love the truck!

I have a Toyota 4runner trd pro which had a 53k msrp. The backup camera on that vehicle is worse than Maverick. Btw the best backup camera I have ever used was the jeep wrangler JL. Also the 2021 4runner has no wireless apple carplay or android auto. Tacoma is not any better btw.
You must have a dud, our 2018 Corolla base model's backup camera was 3 times better than the Maverick in my opinion.

"Better" is a subjective term but I'd bet my life on a Tacoma over a Maverick any day.

Even if they lowered the price of the Maverick back down to $19,999 and lowered the delivery fee to $1000 instead of $1500, it still wouldn't be worth it with the amount of problems it has. Mine spent 4 of the 6 months I owned it at the dealership until I got rid of it. They supposedly "took care" of the wire harness issue but everyone is still having the same deep sleep mode/dead battery issues.
