Folding Softopper camper shell installed on my Maverick

I added a folding Softopper camper shell. It's awesome .

It's cab high and looks great. I added the optional tinted back window. I wanted some protection from prying eyes.

We got it to transport our dogs on trips with us. They have three different color options.

For sure, our $29k XLTremor jumped up over $33k with that topper, but I just wanted more of that red shiny paint!

Just installed a Softopper too just this weekend. We needed the extra bed space for our vacation in Canada. Love the "safari" look and removal/storage capability of this top since I use a Bak X4s rolltop for everyday use and switching them out is quick and easy. Granted it's not secure like the hard cap but I did not like the look or cost compared to the Softopper. For the initial installation, I had to wait for a hot sunny day to warm the cover so it would snap shut. A road test showed no "flapping" or any other issues. Very good customized fit for the Maverick!

Love the 'safari' look!
Any concerns about getting enough A/C to that part of the truck? I know there are vents under the front seats. I wonder if it would be efficient and practical to run some type of tubing to that rear cab window. Dryer vent tubing? Just thinking out loud here.

I have one on my maverick . It leaked a bit going through a car was , and I noticed after a heavy rain a bit of water . I am not too worried about a little bit of water though .

It's either my dogs or my kids in the back seat. This way all can ride.
