Mine would have increased over $3,000 (23 scheduled to be built). At that price increase and would be out of it! No longer an inexpensive truck!

it is compared to everything else, and just wait till trucks are electric required by law. they will start at 60k, if you are lucky (rumored starting price of cybertruck, ford lightning 80k+ etc)

This is my understanding as well.
Thanks everyone - new to all of this and will cross my fingers that the actual price of my order matches the price guide.

Does the lariat hybrid price seem wrong to anyone else?

Based on the order guide, my understanding was it would be 34855 (base) -720(change from 2200 AWD eco to 1500 hybrid fwd) = 34135

But instead I see 34855 -720 +1500= 35635

This makes the hybrid more than AWD which makes no sense..

Wow, mine (2022 XLT Hybird/Lux/Co-pilot360/HPR paint) would be about $4600 more for a 2024. At that price (just under $33K plus tax, tags, dealer fee, etc) I'm not sure I would have done it.

Crazy!

Exactly. Ford's email said to physically go to the existing dealer to convert the order over before the order bank closes. If it is anything like last year that was a matter of days. The dealer expects me to just take their word that this will all happen automatically with no confirmation or guarantees from their end. My fear is I trust them to switch it over but what happens if the order bank closes and they never put it in? I have nothing to go on.
it's ridiculous that there isn't at least some piece of paper that shows what they did - how difficult would it be for Ford to provide a document when it's converted - and then show all the options you chose along with the pricing and it'd be helpful if they'd also show your original order with the details along with your new order (in case something changed)?

Amazing isn't it? My salesperson told me that I have much more information than they were given. (Thanks to this forum). That's true and sad at the same time. I did the same thing you did - gave my dealer 10 months before I dropped in on them. You should have seen the look on my "clerks" face when he had no idea who I was or what I had ordered. Not a single poke or update since day 1. There is nothing to "sell" to most Maverick customers so no special talent needed. At least get the "clerking" done right.
So if you haven't contacted them in 10 months how would he remember you? He has probably talked to 100s of people since then and if your order hasn't been scheduled what news was there? Some dealers went through their unscheduled list and made sure customers still wanted theirs so they could cancel that order if told no and place a new order for someone else. But it sounds like some dealers don't care about Maverick orders because the margin is tiny and it takes them up to a year to get any money on one. If you ordered an $80,000 truck they would remember you.

Also for price kvetchers, I get it but compare it to any other mid size trucks (I get there arent any other mini trucks except the santa fe, which IMO is just too ugly to consider, and also more expensive proving my point)

My build is a basic as possible XL, Ecoboost, AWD. Comes to just over 27k.

Same basic build with a 4WD Chevy Colorado, came to about a bit over 35k last I tried.

Sure you're getting more truck with the Colly. Also paying more, and more truck isnt always good. One possible use for my vehicle is doordashing, and you can bet the Mav will be 10X better at that than these now massive mid sizers. For me the Mav size is best.

Now, I've been seeing (apparently fake) listing of dealers with mavs in stock at seemingly non outrageous pricing (EG, 26k). Plus some on Carvana etc that arent wildly overpriced (just regular overpriced) Since I'm heavily on the fence, I just feel like with each passing model year the Mav will get easier and easier to acquire used low mileage, without dealing with these dealer order bank horror stories. If you guys claim the EB's wont sell out that fast, might we see them regularly on dealers lots soon? Or no?

There is no official paperwork yet because the order banks aren't open yet. When they can enter the order you should get a DORA with all information. Plus an order confirmation once Ford accepts the order and thecdealer COVPed it.

I asked the same thing. What happens if my options are not available and I don't like what you spec out without my approval. I don't even know what the price differences will be. Their repeated answer was just wait for an email in the next 3 days.

Just came back from my friendly neighbourhood Ford dealer. Same one I ordered my 2023 Maverick 10 months ago with zero contact in those 10 months. Even Though I completely explained that it was a conversion or rollover from 2023 they began taking my 2024 order as if it was a whole new thing. Confused he goes around the corner to talk to his manager and comes back and halfway understands it now. I had to explain that it had to be the same order number. Then had to explain that the 400 watt inverter or the sliding rear window were no longer available. Walked away with nothing no proof that I was there or that I did anything if these guys don't do this properly this order gets canceled. What is the purpose of these dealers? They only get in the way and obstruct things. Let me order online and have it delivered to my driveway. Really don't have a good feeling about this. So glad I did this at two different dealers but they're both the same way. If I get this truck it will be in spite of these guys not because of them.
Why don't you elect different state legislators that will modify your state franchise laws to allow direct ordering to the manufacturer? You probably won't see it in your lifetime because you don't give as much money to your legislator as dealers do.

Since the order banks aren't open yet there is no official paperwork for 2024 orders. When they can put the order in you should get a DORA to confirm.

Just did the paperwork for my carryover 23-24 MY. Total cost went up $4500. XL Hybrid base MSRP went from $20,995 to $24,990, plus $495 for red paint. I thought at one time that I’d rather wait for the 24 this close to the end of the model year. Now I’d be tickled pink if my 23 gets built in October. If not, I hope Ford does us right on the carryover “private offer”.

Yea, I was comparing my 2022 Lariat Lux Hybrid to a similarly equipped 2024, and unless my memory is failing me (pretty good odds), its about a $6k price difference. I guess all those price bumps along the way really add up.

Did you go through the order guide to see what is available? The price guide? The build tool? Since managers or specialists enter the order the salesman has limited insight. Depending on the size of your dealership it may take them 3 days to get the orders in since Super Duty truck orders also start today. The important thing is to get an order in. It can be modified afterwards.

My hybrid lariat build is like $4000 more… (I had all options expect the spray in bed liner) something must be funky

'23 = $33,630 (Lariat Hybrid, Remote Start, Luxury, Co-pilot 360 and Co-pilot 360 Assist)
'24 = $37,230 (Lariat Hybrid)

Ford better hand over a nice private offer, that's wild
Ouch! That's quite the price increase.
