Thanks for that. Does the procedure involve cutting with a razor blade? Do you have a link to how to instructions from Ford?
It's not as easy as it should be, but (obviously) you have to remove it from the vehicle which is a pain since we are talking about 2 sided 3M tape that has been in place for a number of years in most cases. Then the front half of the keypad is separated from the back side with a small (pocket) screwdriver which will basically pop the 2 apart( from the backside with the tape removed you can see where the 2 parts come together) and inside is a small watch type battery if I remember correctly(been a while since I have done one, but I have done them lol.

is hybrid now an option? meaning those of us who have an unbuilt 23 hybrid will have to pay the new option cost for it in 24?

It's the same listed engine hp listed in the 2023 order guide. They tack on 29 hp for the electric motor for the listed 191 hp.
That's what I was figuring, I couldn't remember what the E-CVT produces, THanks!

can you add a windshield de-icer through the aftermarket or order the parts from the factory and install yourself?

Add me to the list of people passing.. I was seriously considering a Lariat Tremor to replace my '22 Lariat Lux, but the removal of windshield wiper deicer is actually important to me in winter as I park outside. I do remote-start but if we get freezing rain that doesn't always help. Yes, I have one of those windshield covers but if I forget to put it on or the wind is blowing it gets moved out of the way; not to mention the huge open space below the windshield where snow tends to accumulate.

The door keypad removal is also annoying - I have yet to use it as the keyfob is so handy, BUT it was nice to have as an option. Plus they didn't add anything new besides changing packages; no big screen, etc..

Maybe 2025 is the refresh like others predicted? We'll see..
Whoa, I missed that( that the de-icer is dropped), if I don't get the '23 I ordered and end up with the '24 at least I have a garage I guess

@Robert C and @wax87 the hybrid is no longer standard. It is a $1,500 option for 2024 Mavericks.
The yet to be announced private offer for unbuilt 2023's will likely offset this price increase.

You mean the one that'll be filled with complaints about how the price is no longer the first-year price (as is pretty much standard and expected)?

Looks like I will have parts order a manual sliding rear window if I end up with a 24 vs. the 23 XLT I have ordered, honestly who’s the dumb a- - at Ford that discounted this but did not option the power version on the XLT? It is standard on the Lariat so why not option it for the XLT?

Not designed to be replaced, but many people have successfully cut open the back and replaced the battery themselves. It's doable, just wasn't designed for it with an easily removed battery cover. ford would rather sell you a $100 keypad than a $5 battery.

Just went through the order guide.... I had been hoping that they would offer an AWD Hybrid option. Disappointed to see they didn't, then even more disappointed to see that they have removed options completely, like the door keypad and wiper de-icer, or made them only available in the Lariat like the sliding rear window, and of course we will find out later today just how much more all of these missing features are going to cost..... looks like I am going to start looking at other vehicles on the market..

Drivers keypad too.
Get less pay more, par for the course.
RE: Get less pay more; sadly that is the path most auto makers follow. I followed closely the evolution of Chrysler's PT Cruiser which like the Mav, was in short supply and high demand and assembled in Hermisillo MX. For example, in the third model year [2003] they removed the second horn, rear sway bar and engine dressup cover. Ford, in my 22 Lariat deleted the digital readout on the dual climate controls, deleted the sound absorbing engine cover and the wifi hot spot. Now for 2024 they deleted the keyless entry pad. All while raising prices. Sad
