I honestly dont know why anyone buys a Tacoma, they are just too bulgy looking and otherwise small inside.

Maverick loses big to the Tacoma would be an alternate title. 😆
Or Maverick overtakes Tacoma but Ford can't make enough of em. If Ford made 200,000 of them last year and actually advertised them anywhere. They would have sold em all by the end of January 2023.

Agreed. I have a friend who is a taco fanboy. He readily admits all the faults and the horrible driving experience, and of course touts the reliability & resale feather (true enough..). But he still keeps buying them. It's rather bizarre. After about an hour riding with him, I could not wait to get out of that thing. Can't imagine actually driving it for any length of time. He loved my Mav, but said he would never consider getting one. People are just weird. :alien:

Brand loyalty is a strange thing. Nowadays, I think it's more a relic of the past. I don't know many people who blindly cling to a brand any more, when something else better suits their needs. There are exceptions, though - like my brother! 🙄

For sure. I have several friends who are insanely brand loyal, but we're also all old farts now. One of my Cheby buds complains non-stop about the crappy dealer, crappy cars & trucks......and marches right back in to get another in a few years!

Tho I do love me some Ford trucks, I've owned many different brands of cars, SUV's, and hotrods. I always try to pick logically rather than emotionally, which can be a challenge sometimes, especially when a contender you weren't counting on rises to the top of your list! Hello Maverick! 🤠

Still not sure why Maverick is being compared with Taco, Colorado, etc. Only one on the list that is comparable is the Santa Claus.
My overall point it’s outselling mid size trucks as well. I thought it was kinda obvious but I’m glad clarify . Poor Santa :(

I don’t think brand loyalty is as big but i do think brand fear is somthing to watch . I’ll never buy a Kia for xyz reasons or Ram etc
