The sound systems on these things are all screwed up. Mine drops bluetooth about once per trip. Most of the time it automatically reconnects after about a minute. Sometimes it refuses to play bluetooth audio even though it's actually connected because it thinks it isn't. Sometimes shutting it off and restarting works. If that doesn't work, turning the vehicle off and leaving it off for about 20 minutes seems to do the trick.

I really wish they had an "aux in" port so I could use my own bluetooth dongle. There are cheap ones on amazon that work great with no trouble at all.

I guess the most important question is what was it playing and did it repeat over and over?

Maybe your truck thinks it's groundhog day and you are Bill Murray.

Try the key fob lock button push twice after exiting. The second button push immediately turns off interior lights as well as the delayed off of the exterior light off delay. I expect it also turns off ALL OFF DELAYS including bed, radio, power points, etc but have not confirmed. I believe this is one of the reasons horn honks to let you know all circuits were turned off (horn honk is why most never use double lock feature?).

thanks for the tip, next time it happens which is fortunately rare. I'd rather the bluetooth issue gets fixed.

My Hyundai Kona does this too! Of course it is a different system.

Be sure software on truck and phone BOTH are updated. Some never update their phones for years. Truck may have more recent update but not necessarily current version.🤷
My wife had blue tooth issues with dropped connections. I do not remember what she did to fix it. I never use it.

Considered a Wireless Android Auto Adapter(or Carplay if on iphone?)
The Moto MA1 has been great for me. Amazon.com: Motorola MA1 Wireless Android Auto Car Adapter - Instant Connection from Smartphone to Car Screen with Easy Setup - Direct Plug-in USB Adapter - Secure Gel Pad Included : Electronics

The phone is definitely updated, have to double check the truck but this has been going on since I got it almost a year ago.

Thanks for the link. I've been avoiding buying one of those since 1) the car's bluetooth should just f-ing work and 2) $87 is a lot of money for a simple bluetooth adapter. If there was an aux port the adapter would cost like ten bucks.

Christine LIVES!! Be afraid. Be very afraid.
Had a chuckle with this one. Last week on Svengoolie had a movie called the car. Really bad 70s flick. Love those

We got ours march 9, 2022. I have not verified, but speculate that the maverick was intended to get a more recent entertainment system with larger screen and Ford due to constraints had to use the smaller one we got which resulted in the dash cubby. The software in the one we got may have been a two or more years old version, resulting in compatability issued?

Agreed, but this will also give you wireless Android Auto.

I was skeptical at first about getting one, but it's so much nicer to not have to plug in and unplug your phone every time you go somewhere, including stops along the way.
