Admittedly, I under-ordered my '23 XLT/FX4 rig, never thought I'd miss the push to start button, as well as a power drivers seat as much as I do. So, I intend to get a Lariat on order when the order bank opens, not a fan of the brown-tone seats. I've searched thru a number of threads, it looks like there is still a fair amount of blue in the interior, or is it reduced with the BAP package? If the seats are the only change (interior-wise), maybe it would be better to have a set of Katzkins installed? Or, are the dash and door panels different?

Thanks, HRG

I have a Lariat coming with BAP and from what I can see anything with a blue tone exterior should look fine. I ordered Alto Blue. Ford needs to expand its interior color scheme a bit for a better match with the other colors.

I hope someone corrects me if I am wrong. I don't have my XLT BAP in the driveway -- my son has it 450 miles away.

The BAP interior changes include:
  • Different seat colors; they are not black on the XLT... More like a dark charcoal.
  • All of the orange touches are replaced with black on the XLT. I suspect the Lariat has replaced copper with black.
  • The door panels and door pulls are also different colors; gray in the XLT.
The rest of the interior continues with the standard blue plastics, light color panels, and textured gray dash inset.

I like the XL interior the best. Yet, I wanted some other features included in the XLT or Lariat and went with the XLT when Ford introduced the BAP. I am glad I paid the additional cost to get the BAP.

When I placed the order, I could have cared less about the other features included in the BAP -- the interior was the primary reason for ordering it. Now that I have it, I also like the other features included in the BAP. I prefer the Lariat wheels over the BAP wheels -- yet, not enough to warrant the cost to swap for them.

I think the Alto blue will combine with the blue and black interior very well.

Mine is Shadow Black without factory BAP but I turned it into one. Dechromed the taillights and 3rd brake light. Blacked out the Ford emblems and surrounds in front and back. Covered the grille bars with black overlays. Had the Lariat wheels painted black. Added black addons in the interior. When they get more Maybett black seat covers back in stock will cover the brown seats.

Only thing didn't do was the little bit of black in the headlights.

And it cost less than the BAP package.

@Oldman may I ask what the wheel painting cost was? I'm considering getting my Lariat wheels powder coated once I take delivery.

Sure does on mine. Lots of interior blue remaining in my Lariat Lux BAP.

Here's what the order guide lists for BAP... Pretty much anything not listed will remain the same, including the blue interior trim.

The outside door handles on my Lariat BAP are body colored, not black. I know there was some confusion when the BAP documentation first came out.

Yeah, it seems that Lariat with BAP actually keeps Lariat's body-color exterior door handles, so that part isn't quite accurate out of the order guide (at least the original version).
