Well since they built in 2022 about 100K mavs and they now have a third shift claiming an added 80K so it should be 180K mavs built for 2024. They also claim its a 50 50 split between eco and hybrid. So 90K hybrids . Is that enough? I see in 2024 many dealer lots now having at least the eco sitting on them. So what will be the price. Inflation is 5 percent last I heard?

Then anything new? I guess not much, maybe new color? . No hybrid AWD? Will the outrageous used mav still command those prices? Maybe for the hybrid I doubt for the eco.

About 3000 ford dealers in USA. Assuming 35K ecos get ordered for 2024 that leaves about 55000 so about 18 ecos per dealer on lot. Yes I know they are not split evenly just some simple numbers. It will be much better times for Eco wanters. hybrid not so much. Is 80K hybrids enough for orders?

It is going to see how many really want a Maverick. Months and months of waiting may turn off many potential buyers? I will not buy a Ford again!

feel exactly the same and I can't tell you how many times I have had to zip ahead of some idiot who is wavering next to me or on my tail or cuts in front ot me. Nobody ever did that with my old 2003 Aviator.
I find when people are tailgating if I turn on my hazards they tend to back off.

That's 80,000 more for both Maverick and Bronco Sport. They have been building more Sports than Mavericks so it might not be even 40,000 more.

Well, despite the source I still think it is, at this time, July 17th. That was stated by Ford a month or so ago. But having a dealer salesmen state it makes me rethink it.
Now I'm not so sure.
Nobody, I mean nobody, know less about the Ford Maverick
than the dealerships. You can grab a random person at a bus stop andf they will know more about it than any dealership salesperson.
Sounds like I'm trying to be funny but I'm not.
It is stunning their misinformation and how little they know.
I don't know why this is, I think maybe they only go on what Ford has told them directly. They don't listen to the news or read the papers aand use no outsaide information. And Ford seems to keep them in the dark. By the time they know something it has changed. A dealership is the l;ast place to go for Maverick information. ANYONE on these formums knows way more.

I get what you're doing, pointing to a source that should know. They did know in the 1950's up until about 2020.
It's a brave new world.

Instead of that long winded rant I should have simply said that even though a dealership salesman confirmed the July 17th date that I still believed it was July 17th.

And I would not use hyperbole in a million years.

That added 80K from Ford included Broncos with nothing saying how much of one or the other.

Yes I srewed up. I forgot they build BS there too. So assuming they do a split as the BS is easy to get now 40 more Mavs so 140K total so 70 K hybrids this still leaves 70 K ecos with a 35 K ordered (guess) leaving 35K for dealer lots at 3000 dealers so about 11 per dealer lot. So still Ecos should be on dealer lots next summer. So is 70K hybrids enough?

Since Bronco Sport near me are readily available I assume the half Mav half BS with the added 80K total increase at factory.

I wish I could order and request it not be built until next February when I'm ready to actually buy it. Lol I mean with the backlog, it might take that long but I can't take the chance!
As long as you aren't putting down a non-refundable deposit there are no consequence from ordering a Maverick and walking away later. I ordered my MY23 Maverick knowing I wouldn't be ready for 6 months and it wasn't built until month 9. You can't predict when it will show but the odds are high that you won't get it early.

I guess it’s time to decide about placing a ‘24 order since the ‘23 isn’t getting built. If the economy was stronger I’d probably go for it, but as-is it’ll really be a tough decision…
Don't forget: If you order the 24, and it does get scheduled, you can always cancel the order...that way you leave your options open. I do think Ford is going to ramp up production a lot for 2024 MY including the Hybrid...

Just two weeks ago we were at World Ford in Pensacola picking up our new XLT Hybrid and I told our sales agent to put me on her calendar for the morning of July 17th. When I told her why, she called her sales manager over who proceeded to tell me I had no idea what I was talking about and that 2024 ordering wouldn't open before September or October and I shouldn't believe things just because I read them on the interwebs. I'm so hoping to be able to keep that appointment next month, place an order and look up that sales manager...:D

I just realized you are in the Lehigh Valley. Me too! Unless Ford shakes things up, if you order from Nazareth Ford I can almost guarantee you won't get your order before February 2024 based on the last 2 years. Also, whenever it is built it will take at least a month to ship to our area. So it would have to be built in Nov/Dec to arrive before your Feb. timeline.

I think unless they get a bold font email from Ford corperate headquarters telling them something they don't have a clue about it.
It may, and probably will, change but everybody knows order banks open July 17th.
I was mocked and made fun of when I went into a dealer
in early September 2022 and asked if I could give them my order and options for ordering September 15th.
"Oh no they haven't announced when ordering starts, you can't believe everything you hear on the internet.
Dumbass (implied).
Salesman stood up and announced "Does anyone know about some super secret ordering date of September 15th starting for the Maverick?
Everybody laughed.
Going bacl at 9Am the 15th they wern't contrite about it - just matter of fact.
Like all things Ford they leave a trainwreck in their wake and just continue on.
And yeah I went back to that dealer - they are all the same.

Sooooo - My Maverick is "scheduled" to be built the week of 31 July . . . two weeks after the order banks open. I doubt the order banks will be open for more than a few days, much less two weeks.

I know I'm not the only person in this situation. I plan on running to the dealer the day the order banks open and place an order for a 24 Maverick. How many others will be doing the same. Yes, I have a Maverick, but it's not the one I wanted - but at this point,it is a "bird in hand".
