It was never $19,500.

For the XL Base Hybrid it was $19,995 plus the mandatory $1,495 shipping charge or $21,490

As of now it is $22,595 + $1,595 or $24,190

That is a $2,700 increase or 12.6% increase thanks to inflation.

I guess it’s time to decide about placing a ‘24 order since the ‘23 isn’t getting built. If the economy was stronger I’d probably go for it, but as-is it’ll really be a tough decision…

I will add the new car replacement and let the insurance people freak out on how much a marked up hybrid cost but I'm not losing sleep unless it happens. Hopefully it never will

Well, despite the source I still think it is, at this time, July 17th. That was stated by Ford a month or so ago. But having a dealer salesmen state it makes me rethink it.
Now I'm not so sure.
Nobody, I mean nobody, know less about the Ford Maverick
than the dealerships. You can grab a random person at a bus stop andf they will know more about it than any dealership salesperson.
Sounds like I'm trying to be funny but I'm not.
It is stunning their misinformation and how little they know.
I don't know why this is, I think maybe they only go on what Ford has told them directly. They don't listen to the news or read the papers aand use no outsaide information. And Ford seems to keep them in the dark. By the time they know something it has changed. A dealership is the l;ast place to go for Maverick information. ANYONE on these formums knows way more.

I get what you're doing, pointing to a source that should know. They did know in the 1950's up until about 2020.
It's a brave new world.

feel exactly the same and I can't tell you how many times I have had to zip ahead of some idiot who is wavering next to me or on my tail or cuts in front ot me. Nobody ever did that with my old 2003 Aviator.

it's not much of a risk , they're not going to even start scheduling until probably november, they have a backlog and they'll likely have priority on them, then there'x xmas holiday downtime - add to that the amount of time it takes to xport it to the dealer. Really....you should be fine - order it and if it shows up too early for you then just decline it. You have nothing to lose in any case.

22,595 (includes cruise control) . base on 22 was 19995. Add 1450 destination charge to '22 and 1595 to '23
