For 2023, the Ford Maverick Tremor Off-Road package became optional for those looking for a bit more off-road capability than what was offered by the FX4 package, and now, sources tell Ford Authority that a street-oriented performance variant is on the way as well.

Unfortunately, our sources did not fully outline what to expect from this particular variant, but they did say it will feature a lowered suspension and big wheels, and that it will “sit low.” The big question about any type of street performance-oriented Ford Maverick is whether or not it will boast any type of powertrain upgrade or new engine choice, but no information about that is available at this time.

Bigger engine and lot more horsepower a definite requirement!wider tires ,lower it about a inch,sportier seats,and less than 40,000$ price.i believe one like this would look good next to my 1999 lightning!

It would be a great concept as no one is offering a truck like this anymore. I remember in the 90’s a number of companies had the sportier trim kits and factory lowered with bigger wheels and low pro tires. It’s not my cup of tea but I can imagine lots of folks being into it. I think one was the Chevy S10 Extreme. Toyota a variant of the Tacoma as well.

It might be like a Ranger GT, which was....
(XLT Ranger with Stock V6, but with body panels and badges).

take the Focus RS driveline, Drop it in. LOWER it. Nice stance, wheels, bigger brakes and make it handle and we have a winner. Take my money - Again!

If it's an ST Line play. KEEP IT!

Why would this be your guess when this hasn't been the case for any other ST product they've made?

Well, I haven't seen much in the ST-Series.
I have seen the GTs
SVOs, not much of the SVTs.
The 250hp in the stock ECO, isn't a bad start. My last Ranger(2008) had 165hp. So, with this engine, some body mods and dropping it 2 inches. Ford could still make $$$.
But, I doubt your NOT getting it for less than $38,000 MSRP..
If we stick with the Mav's original MSRPs in the $23,000.

Ok, being on this forum for six months now and seeing All of the mods.
Heres a MTC-version of a Maverick ST:

* 2.3L Corsair engine
* Cab snd Tailgate Spoliers
* Black-Out package (BAP) ?
* 19" - 20" Wheels
* 2 inch lowering
* Lariat-trim

So, what da think... :unsure:

You guys needing a bigger engine are on crack. an ecoboost is already faster than a 90’s mustang GT… by a lot. There’s guys turning up the wick with aftermarket tunes getting over 300hp to the wheels

Make your own… doesn’t take any custom work just stroke a few checks and drive….or wait for the losers at Ford to make one for you- it’s not like they have shown themselves to be world class F ups or anything.

I've posted this before.... Regarding Focus RS vs ST.

"RS (ralleye sport) would be the one that would have the 2.3L ...

This discusses the Focus ST vs Focus RS and it's a really good read. Really shows the two different directions that Maverick owners can go when building a Maverick for Speed.

to me it's ST is light speed mods, like FX4 is light off road mods
then its RS is for heavier speed mods, like Tremor is a bit more capable off road.

I expect a Corsair turbo and a re-tune myself. Maybe a spec intercooler and intake. 295hp 310 lbft seems as good a number as any.
