Have now spent close to three hours trying to order accessories from Ford. Trying to use FordPass points to order a tri-fold bed cover which, to be honest, is priced at 2X retail, but is properly priced if the cost is mitigated by FordPass points and SPRING20.

Called customer (NO) service and the woman didn't even have her microphone up to her face and the noise in the background suggested she was either working in a restaurant while answering calls for Ford or making a meal at home.

Is anyone able to order anything through Ford's website? If so, how?

Things I've tried:
  1. Different computer
  2. Different browser
  3. Incognito Mode
  4. Wiping the Cache
  5. FordPass App
  6. Combinations of the above
  7. Calling Ford
  8. Going to dealer where they say they do not honor ANY discount codes on ANY retail sales.
After waiting two years for this truck, I'd like to buy some accessories. Why is Ford so dammed determined not to sell stuff? How the actual f are they even in business? Why does nobody at that company actually care?

If Ford corporate does monitor this site - kindly answer these questions!

Do you realize that customers DO HAVE A CHOICE and TESLA MAKES ORDERING A CAR AND ACCESSORIES EASIER THAN ORDERING A PIZZA?

Damn ... I regret this purchase. Not because of the vehicle, which is sorta fine but has really poorly written software (for some reason audio over Apple Play is terrible, but good over bluetooth & very wonky 360 assist interface). Ford is about where my company was in 1995. It is astonishing they are impossible to do business with online.

I went to the dealership that I used to work at and ordered my accessory's from a friend. I'm not going to mess around with any online ordering from Ford.

I have ordered twice from them with no issues. Both arrived faster than Amazon.

There was a major cloud services outage earlier today, but it seems to be resolved. I just tried their website and got all the way to the point where I enter my details to checkout and didn't run into any concerns. Make sure you are accepting cookies as they are needed to complete the purchase.

Go to your local dealer and order. They can redeem your points.
The say they offer NO discounts on any RETAIL parts purchases.

This was stated in a manner that would impress Jane Goodall and that woman's seen a few chest beaters in her time.

Go to oemfordpart.com It lets you use Pass Points. Got my tailgate letters from them and the lettering has a 3/36 warranty. Beats going through a dealer and hoping they do their job correctly.

It's too bad some dealerships are so greedy to not honor the discounts offered online. Sure, it's off your bottom line, but it's still a sale you wouldn't really otherwise have.

Let me also add that accessories don't have the same markup as do regular parts, it's often quite a bit lower. Some dealers will honor the online discounts though, it depends on the parts and discount -- depending on the item, you might almost be giving it away. that said though, it's better to have the sale for less, than have virtually no sale at all. Additionally, Ford will still pay the dealership a set percentage for "handling" the parts you order online and have sent to the dealership for pickup.
My perspective on it is that if you're going to get $10 for "handling" the part, and you could have $15 if you offered the discount and ordered it for the customer, why not just order it for the customer and save them the hassled of going back home ordering online? Why not try and build a relationship with them so they come back for their other wants and needs? That amount you sacrifice on an accessory today might come back tenfold over the time the customer owns that vehicle.
Ford points are redeemable at any Ford dealership, so why shouldn't they work with you to get your business, even if they discount the parts to bring you into their dealership? At times the policies are penny wise and dollar foolish.

If you live in Oklahoma, Arizona, or Vermont you have to go to parts.ford.com rather than accessories.ford.com for whatever reason. Maybe that is your problem?

Tracking is also screwed up. Says my Lariat is in production, but says VIN does not exist yet,
Just getting to it to check is hit and miss.
Makes me wonder is FordPass is even worth it. I sure that will be a cluster.
