Air conditioner compressors are made these days to AUTOMATICALLY cycle the compressor a few turns every startup of the vehicle for lubrication. The owner does not need to remember to do anything. Just use it when they want, shut it all off when they want. You can pass this along to your clients. They'd probably appreciate the peace of mind. I am only familiar with "American" cars, but I suspect all would do this, especially anything branded as "luxury".
