Priority code just means it's your dealership's "line" in which orders will be looked at by Ford for scheduling, within constraints. So if order A is priority 10, and order B is prioirty 11, order A will be looked at and scheduled first before order B, assuming no constraints. But once you add in constraints, then a heavily constrained prioirity code 10 order (call it order C) will be skipped and Ford will schedule order B instead.Ordered my next XLT 9/15/22 like 1000's of others. I just found out from my sales person that I am a priority 11. It seems there are a lot of priority 10's and 19's out there with no scheduling after 8 months. Curious here. What is the actual purpose of a priority number? I get the restraints implications but that doesn't explain the practical reasoning of having a priority number at all. Thanks
This is all within the particular dealership, so it's irrelevant what other dealerships assign as priority codes as it won't affect your particular dealer's queue of orders.
