Has anyone changed out the stock tires on a hybrid for bigger tires? I want bigger tires, but I’m getting mixed reviews about the mpg’s. I expect a hit, but can you share with me your experience? What’s the mileage and what size tires did you get? Thanks

What size/particular tire are you considering?

If my Hybrid ever gets built, I have this set up for it. If you don't want to affect the mileage, you should try to stay close to stock sizes and tire weight (both have an effect on mpg).
My AWD EB is supposed to be built today, and when it gets here I will put this set up on that until I come up with something different. Let us know what you are going to put under your Hybrid and good luck!

Why? Just for looks? I think the stock tires do just fine, considering snows for the winter. On the other hand, the wheels on my Lariat are a little silly looking, I'd consider something simpler like slotted disc wheels.

Hello , I got rid of those crappy Continentals and bought a set of 235. Wildpeaks from a club member in Huntsville Alabama He took them his Maverick Lariat I love them have 12,000 miles on them now rain, snow, ice, very hot weather, floods, dirt roads these Wildpeaks are great tires 😉👍. I live out in the middle of nowhere in West Tennessee uphill, downhill, sharp rights, sharp lefts, slam on the brakes because of wild life ECT The tires get a heck of a work out I Average 40. MPG Over 12,000 Miles Hope this helps you 👻🇺🇸👍😉

I would expect a drop of up to a few mpg, particularly if you're planning on going for heavier all terrain tires.

Also bear in mind that your truck won't be accounting for the change in tire size as it calculates your realtime mileage.

Yes, it’s for looks but also the dirt roads we have here in Arizona. Obviously I can’t go off road in a hybrid, but I need a little bit more traction. But if I must be totally honest , they look great with bigger tires. I added black wheels and bushwhacker fenders, giving it a little bit more ruggedness.

I have the XLT Hybrid with BF Goodrich, All Terrain T/A K02 tires, Size - 245/65/17 and I think they look awesome and have gotten up to 39MPG in the city and averaging 37MPG.
