I also called today and they told me it was a good choice to wait for the Hybrid as they are now looking at up to 50 mpg. Perhaps this explains the delay in a window sticker
From what I understand the delay is the fine government folks at the EPA. The actual mpg wouldnt create a hold up. they just pull data from the computer.

Only thing I have is the order confirmation email from July 21st.
I ordered 7/22 and still have no email confirmation. My dealer said don't stress over it because "not everybody gets one" but these forums always seem to indicate otherwise.

Call Ford and ask them for a status.

Just got off the phone with Ford to check on my hybrid XL order. The person I talked to was very informative and the first thing she said is that they have been seeing the hybrids get up to 50 mpg. Also she listed the current constraints/late availability items. The spray in liner and hard rollup tonneau covers are not on the list (splash guards are still on the list)! I explained my dealer took the splash guards off my order last Friday. She said I should expect to be scheduled soon! I also asked if hybrids had been delayed. She said people originally thought they would but there are no delays for the hybrid!
Between now and January 1 Ford will produce 10K Mavericks according to figures. Lets say each dealer gets 2 - Im thinking they will get more from looking at the dealer sites - but anyway - that would be 6500. That leaves 3500 till the end of the year. That also does not include the 430 Canadian Dealers .... Then Ford has stated 35% hybrid production - 1225 hybrids build until the end of the year and that's if they don't ship some of those to dealers as well. Nope no delays tho...... I ordered at the beginning of August - Ill be lucky to see it by my birthday in May. While Ford has stated - No hybrids will be shipped to dealers until customer orders are fulfilled they are shipping a crap load of 2.0s out and they can only make so many hybrid or not.

Did she list commodity constraints and late availability items separately?

It seems like sometimes the phone folks are just looking at late availability -- which includes splash guards -- and ignoring the latest commodity constraints.

The most recent info on commodity constraints is listed here:

Yes she listed [the commodity constraints and late availability items] off separately.
Interesting. That's hard to reconcile with the list of national constraints posted earlier today (linked to in my previous post). I can't figure it out, anyway.

I guess Ford works in mysterious ways...

I called Ford. The direct dial for the Mavericks is 800-334-4375 as stated above. The rep confirmed that my order had been placed on 8/7. When asked about getting a build date she said that lately those have been scheduled about 60 days after the order.

I also want to switch my color from cactus gray to cyber orange. She said that since a VIN has not been assigned it would be possible and not push me back in the queue. HOWEVER, if i an close to getting my build date the dealer's system will not allow them to change the color. I found that interesting.
So I have called my salesperson and am waiting to hear whether a change is possible.

I think if your order has moved to priority 2 you can no-longer make the change but if it's at 10 or 19 you can.

Called Ford again today just to see if anything changed after yesterday. Still in order processing. She said the reason for the delay is the hybrid engine. I asked when I might get scheduled. She said it could be a month or could be 3 months.
