After 39,000 miles in 15 months I traded my ECO XLT 2022 (got a better offer from the dealership 25K) and went with Chevrolet, no overprice, no hassel, no drama.
Still waiting on my Hybrid that's going into production 👍 just in case.
Side by side to say goodbye and welcome

I REALLY like the new Colorado and Canyon. If this new model had come out before my Maverick I may have done that instead. But I prefer the Canyon AT4 and optioned how I would like it would be $49K. Not that I can't afford it, but I definitely don't WANT to spend that kind of coil these days.

The trial boss is nice but my gripes are terrible 19/21 mpg . That added skid plate is not standard . No LEDs .
Maverick LEDS on all trims I think .. great Mpg . If you want do heavy off roading then yes trial boss . Everything else maverick . The towing on the boss won’t be kind to Mpg . Looking at 14-15 mpg tops ?
The Maverick does NOT come with LEDS except on Lariat. That mileage is not terrible considering how tall this truck is, how big the tires are and power numbers of 310hp/430ft.lbs of torque. And in most trims it comes close to doubling the Maverick tow capacity. Of course mileage will take a hit.

Quick google search says otherwise ? :
Ranger as of now gets better Mpg than the trial boss same height . Its disappointing . Also almost everything is controlled by the infotainment system which is worryism if it every breaks . Cant even turn on your headlights without it . It’s decent but i suspect the Ranger and tacoma will be better but at higher cost most likely

Well Google is wrong. My XLT with Lux did not come with them. I upgraded mine to LEDs from Lasfit. Also, I am pretty sure you are also wrong about needing infotainment to turn on the headlights. Are you sure about that? You could be right, but I am sure they are also on auto just as the Maverick is

Maverick’s headlights are absolutely LED at every trim level. The turn signal bulbs are halogen which is what you swapped for Lasfit but the actual headlight is LED so Google is factually correct.

Headlights, yes. He said "no LED's" I should have asked him to clarify. The signals, brake lights, cab light in halogen are all garbage, so it would have been nice to have those LED too, but the Lasfit upgrade was cheap and easy and they are so much nicer.

I saw that. But, like I noted it likely has auto lights the same as our trucks. For the rare occasion that I do anything with my lights other than just leaving them on auto it doesn't seem like it would be that big of an issue. Though, I would like to see how they are controlled in the infotainment and whether or not it is pretty simple or if you have to make 5 selections before getting to the menu.

You just press button for auto lights set and it forget it . It’s easy but again if your going off road at night and hit huge bump and lose power to control panel your kinda SOL , also I’m sure it’s not cheap to fix .

You are making a weird assumption here. I am fairly sure knocking out the power to that panel is not quite that easy. I would also wager that the engineers do not have the function of the lighting 100% tied to the infotainment screen. But I am sure someone will find out.

I’m just giving you situation that could happen … not that it will.. you could use your brights if it happend if all else fails but agian won’t be cheap fix somthing that has controls in infotainment system. Manuel buttons for lights should still be a standard for off road truck or any car really . If you can live with it that’s fine .

If I had no money issues i would get either the Mid size chevy of Tacoma. Not too big but much safer. Being up high saves your butt at times. Thinking of dear hits is one. Bigger is almost always safer.
