Ordered in Sept 2022 and was delivered today and I picked it up.

I was under the impression I was price protected and had the DORA with the correct price indicated. The vehicle went into production after the price increase($500), dealer said I wasn't price protected though - is this correct?

I also changed my order to include the spray in bed liner when there was a special offer around January, which included the cargo mgmt with the SIBL, I received the SIBL but no cargo mgmt. Dealer was unfamiliar with the offering, is there a way to prove I should have received the cargo mgmt system?

In Feb 23 I modified the order I placed in Sep 22, removing the trailer hitch and splash guards and adding the spray in liner and cargo management system. I was given a copy of the modified order and at the bottom right above the total cost it says “Maverick bed utility discount“ and $-225, which was the promotion they were running. Were you given a copy of the order when you changed it?

Hopefully my Maverick will be ready at the beginning of June, when I placed the order in Sept, I was assured the price I would pay is what was listed on my buyers order. Hopefully they keep their word.

Dealer should honor the DORA. I ordered in Sept 22 and received my Maverick 3 weeks ago and the dealer honored the DORA price, along with a Farm Bureau discount. Sounds like someone wanted to make some money off you. I would go all the way to the GM if needed. This is not right.

Does your window sticker have the line for 6 D-Link Bed Connectors? If not, the dealer screwed up. My dealer initially put in the order to have some other "dealer installed" cargo management system that was more expensive (like $400 instead of $225) and didn't have the discount. I had to email them to fix it and when the did, it came back with the correct discount applied.

This is not normal, they should have honored the DORA. I think to get the correct price, they should have used the Smart Vincent program. I may be wrong but I am pretty sure that is what my dealer did.

I have lost track of when things happened so sorry if Iam way off base. What date did Ford raise the price by $500 ? If you made ANY changes after that date didn't you lose the price guarantee? Again I can't remember when they price increase was?

I went through this fight in 2022, Autonation could not of cared less, but tried really hard to pretend like they did.

No one at Ford could help me, so I was stuck. Every call / chat with Ford said it is ultimately up to the dealer.

Was a COVP required for price protection? (Asking out of ignorance)

I know COVP wasn't required to place order but I wonder if the lack of one is at play here.

I changed from XL to XLT and the price was changed (obviously) because it was an upgrade and it was price they had still had set in Dec 22, plus I added BAP and I also added to get the (61D) SIBL plus the cargo Mgmt. However, in March 23, when I changed to drop the full-sized spare (ordered to match the steelies on the XL, now it wouldn't) they dropped the $115 but the base prices had gone up over $300 so I gained a donut spare and $200+ on my bill. So what, I already have 4 new rims to mount snow tires on and can be used as FS spares. Zhithappenz

When my Maverick hybrid arrived after 8 months to Puerto Rico it did not have window sticker on it. The wanted me to pay 40,000 for a 25 k truck list price. Gas was very high here then and I wanted the truck so I haggled for 2 days and paid 37,300. The dealer had a couple of other guys who wanted the truck for over 40 k. That's just what happens when you live on an Island in the Carribean sea. I love my Maverick Hybrid getting over 50 mpg, using the electric motor only about 33% of the time.

I hope not! I updated my order with the SIBL deal and the dealer didn't say anything about losing the prior price. This would be nonsense to take advantage of Ford's SIBL discount if you end up paying more with the increased price.

I had the same experience with my local AutoNation in March. Same info from Ford Marketing.
