True dat- It's a puzzle that you need all the pieces to but that CAI is drop dead sexy :)
Absolutely gorgeous, much better than the CAI I made for my 95 Cobra Mustang though I didn't use any duct tape or bailing wire.
It was the last piece added after - big valve Trick Flow heads, larger throttle body, polished intake, equal length ceramic headers, oversized Magna Flow X pipe exhaust system with high flow cats. That's just the air plumbing, I went a little nuts on that car.

Really nice looking kit!

Waiting to see more details, like will it be compatible with my Cobb AccessPort 93 octane tune?

@Fast Mavericks what is the maintenance on the dry filter? do you simply replace it every 20,000 mi? if so, what's the replacement filter cost? is it a proprietary filter?

How much does the unit *weigh?
How does that *weight compare to the stock intake?
Is the color applied or does it go all the way through?
If it’s applied, what type of coating do you use?
Is it baked on?
If so, at what temperature (Fahrenheit and Celsius) and for how long?
What is the proper **torque for the connecting clamps?

* In grams AND ounces please
** Do you recommend a ratchet and socket?
If so, what size drive would be best? 1/4, 1/2, 3/4? And the sockets: Shallow, deep or both?

I have several minutiae questions I am gathering now to ask soon

Are there any rain diverters or dam? What is the design to mitigate water entry and filter soak? Looks like rain water will get sent directly to filter element at highway speeds? Any info is appreciated.

A sincere question:
Doesn’t the stock unit have a somewhat similar diverter/dam?
I truly don’t know

Yes that's what I mentioned - Flow numbers with that new inlet would be interesting -
I do know from testing at the track that removing just the stock 'elbow' there is restriction there & this new air intake looks like the best design I have seen so far. A back to back test with stock & this intake would be something I would like to see done.

Good to know- I just need to see an increase of 18hp to the midrange, 6 HP to peak on a dyno and I am ready to buy :) Looks legit, hopefully a little more intake noise without being obnoxious-

That's a long straw to suck air through.

Shorter than the stock one & much larger in diameter too.
“Shorter”
Does that mean it doesn’t go as low to the ground?
Further from rain splashing?

Neither intake goes anywhere near the ground, the inlets are above the radiator & behind the hood/grill, so water should not be a problem unless you drive into a lake.
