see you've got it all wrong...

the profit motive is the catalyst by which captains of industry innovate and propel our free market economy forward....

embrace it.... oh... and go upside-down on your auto loan for a few years....

They can ask whatever they want. If someone wants to spend an arm and a leg and their first born, that's on them. I wouldn't pay anywhere near that myself.

If anyone pays that price for an XL and I find out who they are, I will personally punch them in the upper arm hard repeatedly until they admit they were an idiot. 😆

They want 38K for a base XL. I would not pay that much. I am from a Canada and I paid 38K for mine and it is a fully loaded XLT with all the bells and whistles. Tell them to park it where the sun never shines.

Jeez... like I get someone being hard up for a truck... but at these prices, you could just buy a different truck. Like these are go drive twenty minutes to Columbus and buy a Tacoma instead prices.

Not surprising. A quick search of most major markets reveal something similar. Just saw an XLT with almost 20K miles on it that a dealer has on the lot for over $40K. It is a CRAZY market, but as long as people buy them, they will remain at that price. Simple economics 101.

Asking/listing prices can be very different from transaction price. I would say this dealer would most likely be willing to negotiate for a lower price with a serious buyer. I don't think the current market in central OH supports the asking price. They might get it, but I would bet my money the final transaction will be much lower.

Which is why we gotta start punching the people who pay these prices in the arm.

Hard.

Until they stop doing that. And the prices come down.

And your $38,000 CAD is only ~$28,500 USD.
