What power source to tap into for under hood lighting?

Although those underhood lights on the retractable wire the 90's GM trucks had was kind of neat. And even more surprising usually still worked 15 years later.

I could do that, but I like knowing I have a light I don't have to hold or worry about being charged.

Finally figured out a way to power my under hood light. Tapped into the amber parking lights, yes you have to turn on the parking lights, but if I was on the side of the road I would probably have them on anyway .
